There's a new mobile tactics game set in the Warhammer universe -- Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower. Developed by Perchang Games, the game features a campaign set in the Age of Sigmar - a Warhammer made up of eight interconnected realms spawned from the Winds of Magic.

According to the description given in the announcement trailer, the game features a campaign that is designed to test players' strength, skill and endurance as they battle their way through the Gaunt Summoner’s trials. The goal is to collect the fragments of the Gaunt Summoner’s amulet, speak his true name, and face him in a final battle.

Along the way, you'll maneuver your team of warriors in fights against Acolytes, Tzaangors, Daemons and other monsters that make up the feared legions of the chaos god Tzeentch.

Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower will actually be the third game in the Warhammer Quest series. The second game, 2017's Warhammer Quest 2: The End Times, was also developed by Perchang Games. The announcement trailer doesn't show much about the actual gameplay that you can expect, unfortunately. However, if the game is anything like the previous games in the series, it'll feature an in-depth quest spanning a massive world map, with no shortage of grid-based battles that you fight using your own custom squad of warriors and mages.

For those who don't know, Warhammer Quest: The Silver Tower is based on a board game of the same name made by Games Workshop -- something it shares in common with the original Warhammer Quest, though not its sequel. The board game features the same story and setting of the mobile game, so if you want to get a taste of what's in store without having to wait for the mobile game's release, then you have that as an option.

But for those who prefer not to deal with tons of figurines and large rule books, Warhammer Quest: The Silver Tower will be available in the App Store and Play Store sometime this year.
