If you own a bunch of IP, put it all into a kart racing game. That seems to be the consensus right now. If Nintendo can do it, why can't everyone else? Chocobo GP has enjoyed mixed success, Disney Speedstorm is still on track to arrive later this year, and soon you'll be able to play a kart racer featuring characters from your favorite animated Fox shows. Well, some of your favorite animated Fox shows.

Warped Kart Racers is a new racing game coming exclusively to Apple Arcade. As is the case with almost every game in the Apple Arcade library, Warped Kart Racers won't be available anywhere else. That means you won't be able to buy it separately through the iOS app store. It also should mean no microtransactions. One of the driving forces behind Apple Arcade is that players aren't faced with paywalls and additional charges, as is the case in most mobile games. Just the monthly fee which currently stands at $4.99 for access to a library of games that is almost 200 strong.

Some of the characters to have made Warped Kart Racers' roster include Lois Griffin, Roger from American Dad, and King of the Hill's Hank. And yes, before you ask, that is a little lawnmower you can see him riding in the trailer. Speaking of which, the game appears to boast a lot of customization options for the characters and their karts, all of which should be unlockable via gameplay alone as again, the selling point of Apple Arcade is no microtransactions.

Warped Kart Racers has been developed by Electric Square, perhaps most notable for creating Forza spinoff, Forza Street. It was actually revealed that particular branch of the Forza tree would be shutting down this year, just three years after it launched. Hopefully Warped Kart Racers will enjoy a longer life. If there are plans to add more content in the future, it could become one of the more successful kart racers launching this year, of which there are already quite a few.
