One of the most highly-regarded features of Musou games is that they're so incredibly fast-paced - you can slash through swathes of enemies in seconds and engage in fierce, heated battles with enemy officers. It's a shame, then, that some levels in Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate will force you to make long, slow treks across entire battlefields.
In others, you'll be forced to react quickly to something happening on the other side of the map, and not getting there in time can cost you the level. So what do you do? You get on your horse! And... find out that the default horse isn't very fast. You need better horses. Here's how to get two.
How To Get Red Hare And Matsukaze
The method to get these new horses is actually pretty devious - there are four requirements:
- You must be playing a specific stage.
- You must be playing with specific characters. There are multiple characters that work for this purpose, but only one of them must be in your party to make this work.
- You must kill 1,500 enemies during that stage.
- You must be playing on Hard Mode or Chaos Mode.
With that said, here's how to get these awesome horses:

All you have to do is start these stages on at least Hard Mode with one of the required characters in your party, and then knock out 1,500 enemies. Once that's accomplished, an Item Box will spawn somewhere on the map - collect it to get your unique mount!
If you lose track of the Item Box location, check the Battle Log and examine the message that tells you it spawned.
