First the nuke, then the dam, now the stadium. Are any of the things data miners claim to be coming to Warzone actually going to happen?

Battle royale gaming and data mined leaks go hand-in-hand. Ever since Fortnite players who couldn't bear to wait to find out what's coming next started delving into the game's code, there have been leaks as to what might be coming to the island next. That trait has carried over into the newest BR offering, Call of Duty: Warzone.

Warzone might be less than four months old, but there has already been leak after leak in regard to the game's future. Whether it be map changes or events that will alter the game itself, players have already heard it all. The latest leak suggests that Warzone's stadium will soon be open to players and that a loot train will make its way around Verdansk.

Players are getting pretty excited about those potential changes. However, there's a very real chance they never happen, or at least don't happen right away. Throughout Warzone's very short history, there have been a handful of big leaks that have never materialized. The warhead discovered in Bunker 11 had everyone thinking part of the map was about to meet its demise. Here we are, still waiting for that to happen.

Moving onto the dam. The next big event data miners claimed was on the horizon was its destruction, perhaps resulting in flooding of part of Warzone's map. Maybe not on the same scale as has just happened to Fortnite, but still pretty significant. Again, nothing happened, and Warzone's gargantuan damn remains intact. Don't even get us started on the mysterious shadow spotted beneath the water alongside it that one time.

That's why we are urging Warzone players not to get their hopes up. Not to harp on Fortnite, but it has proved that in-game events and massive map changes equal big numbers. However, Warzone might not want to piggyback off of Fortnite's ideas. Time will tell, but until we are walking through the open doors of the stadium, or hopping aboard the theoretical loot train, we refuse to believe that either of those things will be features anytime soon.
