Verdansk has transformed from a war-torn hellscape into a neon-laced techno party in Call of Duty: Warzone – thanks to a new unexplained lighting bug.

Most bugs in video games are synonymous with frustration and anguish, but this one appears to be a special case. Despite the blaring visual anomaly, the game is entirely functional. In some ways, this glitch is more like a Warzone mod rather than a hindrance. As it turns out, Verdansk actually looks pretty hip covered in a neon hue. When the bug is active, the map looks like it was reimagined by the creators of Across the Universe.

Call of Duty: Warzone is no stranger to bugs, in any case. From truck purgatory to SMG-dog hybrids, it seems that players can't stop finding glitches. Luckily, most of these issues seem to be relatively minor. Bugs like these can even be nothing short of hilarious, such as the following interesting interpretation of physics.

Some people desire to be cremated or buried when they die, but others prefer to simply repossess their body and float around in circles, apparently. Between unexplained flashing lights and spooky reanimated corpses, Scooby Doo and the Mystery Machine gang might just be Warzone's only hope now.
