Mihoyo will reveal its official plans for Genshin Impact's 1.7 update during a live stream event set for July 9 at 8am EST. While nothing has been confirmed just yet, Mihoyo has presented its latest update as a "New Version Special Program Announcement," so speculation has already begun that this may give us a look at Genshin Impact version 2.0, also.

In what has become an almost monthly tradition, Mihoyo hosts its special programs to reveal new updates to the world of Teyvat, new characters, and events. The live streams typically last just over an hour, but considering Mihoyo's special branding for this one, we may be in for more surprises. Rumors have already begun to circulate regarding the next big jump for Genshin Impact, and leakers have already indicated cross-platform saving may be in the works for version 2.0.
