The day has finally arrived for Spider-Man to glue himself back together after the events of Infinity War and return to the world of video games. Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4 has been getting rave reviews from across the Internet, with his latest outing been seen as a return to form for the webhead after a string of disappointing movie adaptations and getting beam-spammed into mediocrity in the Marvel vs. Capcom games.

We here at TheGamer have also been waiting impatiently for Spider-Man's return to greatness, which is why we are proud to present the first part in a new series where we stream our walkthrough of the entire game.

This means that those of you who bought an Xbox One or Nintendo Switch won't have to be left out of Spider-Man's latest adventures, as our TG Streamer takes you through the game.

Spider-Man was developed by Insomniac Games, who are best-known for creating the Ratchet & Clank, Resistance and Spyro series. They are one of Sony's most dedicated studios, even though they aren't owned by the company. This is why a game with such a wide appeal is exclusive to the PlayStation 4 platform.

Spider-Man was one of the few darlings of Sony's lackluster E3 presentation this year, with its amazing graphics (puddles notwithstanding) and fast-paced, explosive action. We got to see just a small part of Spider-Man's latest adventure as he tackled the latest incarnation of the Sinister Six.

We don't want to say too much (as we want to avoid spoiling a brand new game) but Spider-Man will have a lot more to contend with than just the Sinister Six, as other prominent members of his rogue's gallery are also waiting to take their shot against him.

Spider-Man has been compared favorably to the Batman Arkham series, except that there is a much bigger focus on mobility and the dour atmosphere is replaced with a light-hearted tone. This isn't a knock against the Arkham games, as they helped to redefine action games as well know them, but there is plenty of room for that kind of genre to grow and who better to do so than Spider-Man.

Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4 is available to purchase as of today.
