Season 7 of PUBG looks to be right around the corner and launching on April 22. The biggest part of the new season is bound to be the introduction of an overhauled Vikendi map. Players can expect to see new moving trains and a dinosaur park called Dinoland. The snow on the level will also be reduced but in a way that looks as though it has partially melted, and still leaving some snow throughout the map.

PUBG Mobile players are in for a slightly different experience following the launch of beta 0.18.0 on April 6. This currently features the newly revamped Miramar 2.4, the Win94 weapon with a scope, and a new game mode in EvoGround. Similar to Vikendi, Miramar will see changes that bring new locations but also the addition of vending machines.

Finally, while Covid-19 slows down the entire world, so too is the video game industry affected. It was recently revealed that a new PUBG studio in San Ramon was on schedule for Striking Distance Studios along with an opening ceremony scheduled for March 23, right around the time that the pandemic began making sweeping changes to how people operate their businesses and lives. Whether or not the studio will still open in the near future is yet to be seen, but we hope they can get back on track ASAP.
