Funko Pop! figures are known for being reasonably priced figures that any fan can enjoy. The company has made sure to include any and all fandoms it can, covering anything you can imagine from Marvel superheroes to classical literature icons like Cthulhu. With so many fandoms to cover, it’s almost impossible to collect every single Funko that’s out there. But the fans that typically do purchase these also have another fun hobby that we just love looking at… sometimes.

One thing fans can do is customize their Funko figures. You can do this by either adding on details to a character that’s already made, or you can purchase a blank one and start from scratch. Customizing any figure is already a pretty difficult, and sometimes expensive, task, but there are plenty of Funkos out there that look simply amazing; sometimes we can’t even tell that they’re supposed to be a Funko figure! And while there are plenty of beautiful pieces of work out there, there’s also the opposite; ones that we can’t justify being made in the first place.

It isn’t that these figures aren’t amazing from an artistic standpoint, but rather that they’re so weird or so creepy that we get chills just looking at them. We have 25 here that we can’t seem to justify keeping around out of pure confusion, or pure fear. Get ready to get your sculpting materials out, because you’re going to want to create a custom to rival after you see these figures!

24 A... Strange... Dr. Strange

via: reddit.com by abbernaffy_customs

We’re not exactly sure why the designer decided to make Strange bloody; perhaps he’s just gotten done fighting with Thanos? Although it’s not the strangest Funko we’ve seen on this list, anytime you add blood to a custom, it’s bound to be a little unsettling.

Seriously, where has he been?

That being said, the custom is relatively nice and the additions look super clean. It’s got that kind of eerie vibe that’s not too over the top, but still makes you uneasy.

23 Twin Peaks Looks Strange

via: nerdist.com

We haven’t actually seen any official Twin Peaks Funko figures, so we’re not surprised that some fans were creating really nice customs for themselves. However, we didn’t exactly expect this to come out of this!

The figures themselves wouldn’t be nearly that creepy if it weren’t for the dead Laura Palmer wrapped in plastic while the other characters are just standing around her. Her lips were even painted to be frosted over! This particular photo is a little macabre, wouldn’t you agree?

22 Steve, Is That You?

via: dorkhorde.blogspot.com

When Marvel went through its huge zombie phase, we could have seen a figure like this gaining a lot of popularity with people if it had been official. We’re not sure how Steve got to this point, but he certainly looks strange!

And we thought frozen Steve was bad…

What we will say is that the creator put a lot of time and effort into those more gorey details. It’s not everyday you get a simple figure like this with a bunch of creative additions!

21 Jabba The What?

via: storenvy.com

We’re not sure if it’s the eyes or that weird thing he’s doing with his tongue, but this Funko is certainly creepy. Seriously, who decided to make such a detailed Jabba? We wouldn’t want this thing even near our collections.

More than the look itself, we have to wonder why they chose to do this pose instead of literally anything else. The expression is disgruntling to say the least, but the detail really brings this little slimy slug to life!

20 Death From Supernatural Has Arrived!

via: deviantart.com/lmrourke

When Supernatural introduced us to Death himself, he was already a relatively freaky character; the actor did a good job of really making you feel like the abyss was near. We’re pretty surprised that a Funko was able to capture that same essence!

Wow, those eyes really look right into your soul, don’t they?

The artist really paid attention to how the actor looked and made sure they included a lot small, important looks. The stand alone is a really nice touch, but the light brings it all together.

19 Unsettling Jerome and Bruce

via: imgur.com

The show Gotham is a really great rendition of Batman’s younger life, but it still holds some of the most unsettling scenes we’ve ever seen. The artist looks to have played off that by creating customs reflecting how Jerome took Bruce.

The worse part is, Jerome is wearing his own face. It was already gross to see on the show, but it looks equally as painful on a pop figure. But the background, and Bruce’s sad face, really look like it was planned out with care.

18 Tales From The Crypt Is Still Creepy

via: ebay.ie

If you grew up with Tales from the Crypt, you probably spent a lot of your childhood staying awake and freaked out of the monsters you’d just seen on television. Sure, it was a fun show in theory, but when you’re young, it’s just nightmare inducing.

So why not relive that childhood horror in Funko style?

This Funko has the same unblinking eyes and missing teeth that the icon always had. The Crypt Keeper is still just as haunting as he was on the show!

17 Two-Face Never Looked So... Small?

via: mostlyharmless.storenvy.com

Who doesn’t love the Batman villain Two-Face? He’s always been a popular villain from the series, but he certainly has an eerie vibe about him with the intense scarring on half of his face. Despite his character already having a dramatic look, usually it’s not this morbid.

Wat really sells it is that frown; he already looks mad on one side, but the purple hue and showing teeth really make him menacing. Put that together with the slightly messy hair on one side, and you have yourself an iconic villain!

16 Pikachu And Batman Should Never Mix

via: topsimages.com

We only have one question; why? While many of the customs on this list are mostly creepy or downright spooky, this one is simply weird.

The creator must have quite the imagination to craft this one.

Not only is it unsettling to see someone as tough and broody as Batman with the cute, innocent face of Pikachu, but just look at that symbol! It was a nice touch to add the Poké Ball, but we have to say, this was an extremely weird custom.

15 That Is One Too Many!

via: facebook.com/Imaginariumpops

What we will say about these particular Funko customs is that they are extremely detailed and life-like; and that is exactly why they should not exist. It already is a spooky concept, but did they really have to bring him to life as a small minion of villainy?

Not only that, but they made several versions of these customs! What is even going on with the one in the front? Are those kiss marks across his face? We don’t even want to know where they’ve been or where they’re going.

14 His Spidey Senses Didn't Work

via: flickr.com Jared Breslow

The creepy part about this little figure is that he stil seems to have that classic, adorable Spider-Man look for part of his face. Any Funko of Spidey has always been small and cute, but this seems to have taken it to a whole new level.

He doesn’t feel so good Mr. Stark!

Not only did this designer decide to make a zombie Spidey, but they also hacked off a limb to really fit the aesthetic! It’s actually detailed enough that bone is showing.

13 TGIF!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMEvia: mostlyharmless.storenvy.comRA

As disturbing as his face is, we have to say the mug is exceptionally relatable in multiple ways. In fact, we’re pretty sure that most of us wake up with that exact same look in our eyes after a full night of gaming.

However, that doesn’t take away the creepy look of this Jason is really pulling off. The iconic mask is even shaded to look worn and more disturbing even though the rest of his get up is fairly innocent.

12 Yoda Never Looked So... Gross

via: mostlyharmless.storenvy.com

Have you ever wondered what the Star Wars franchise would have been if Yoda had turned to the dark side? The thought is certainly entertaining, but we don’t ever want to imagine it ever again after seeing this!

Master Yoda, how could you betray us like this?

From the pointed, yellowed teeth to his open sores, he’s pretty grotesque to look at. We weren’t aware that joining the dark side automatically made you look incredibly sick. Although, we will say, had Yoda been on the other side, the Jedi wouldn’t have stood a chance.

11 Who Did This To Iron Man?

via: trampt.com Rusty Toaster

Tony has some of the best armor in the world; there shouldn’t be a person on this earth that doesn’t know what Iron Man’s classic suit looks like. However, it’s not invincible, and we’re sure if you didn’t take care of it properly, that there would certainly be some deterioration.

If you’ve wondered what that would look like, this designer customized Tony into a rusted pile of junk. It’s actually a very cool Funko, but those soulless eyes are really boring into us.

10 He Looks A Little Too Real

via: collectors.com

Everyone loves the Joker, so it really only stands to reason that there would be countless customs of him, right? Well, yes, but just as disturbing as the Joker is in character, so are the custom Funkos people make of him.

Let's put a smile on that face?

This Funko has a lot of detail put into it, which is exactly the problem. He looks a lot like the late Heath Ledger, so it’s a little creepy that a Funko figure could hold that much realism.

9 This Is Extremely Strange

via: picclick.com

We’ve seen both the Joker and Pennywise on this list, both of which are some seriously popular clowns. Could you imagine if the two of them were combined into one circus-sized monstrosity of terror? This Funko figure has your back.

The cool thing about this custom is that the design is Pennywise while the color scheme is the Joker. Both of them have a signature creepy smile, so we can see why they’d make such an interesting, and unsettling, custom.

8 Someone Had A Sick Sense Of Humor

via: reddit.com by IceFelicis

If you’ve seen Rick & Morty, then you probably already know who this guy is. It’s not everyday we get to see Ants In My Eyes Johnson in fandom merch! Naturally, a custom just had to be made. Johnson is known for selling electronics and household appliances… Sort of.

Unfortunately, he can’t see too much with all those ants in his eyes.

While he’s a very funny, and very minor, character in the series, it’s still a little unnerving to see him in the real world. We’re not sure we’d want him staring at us from our collection.

7 She Looks So Sad...

via: ebay.ie

Funko has been getting more and more into anime by having everything from Naruto to Vocaloids, but this isn’t really what we would have in mind. It looks like someone really wanted a figure of Rei, from Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Why does she look like someone disappointed her?

While we admire the paint job, it does look a little too strange with her eyes so far apart and her, very clearly, upset expression. Besides, the hunched pose most Funkos have seems like an awkward match.

6 What Is Even Going On Here?

via: twitter.com by Robert Mickschl

This little guy actually wasn’t designed after any character in particular, but he was retweeted by the official Funko Pop! company. It’s clear that the inspiration came from the blank slate you often get when you’re going to create a custom.

The artist just made the rough white exterior look as though you could crack it, like an egg. But our real question is whether or not that egg is real; we certainly hope it isn’t! That would be both a mess and smelly after a while.

5 Official Figures Would Never Do This... Would They?

via: reddit.com by faradodahday

Five Nights At Freddy’s is already a pretty creepy game, but Funko does have actual figures ready for anyone who wants to buy them. Why they would do this, the world may never know, but this fan clearly took it to the next level by customizing their Bonnie.

We wouldn’t touch this figure with a ten-foot pole…

The regular figure is on the right while the customized one is on the left. This version of Bonnie comes incomplete with a missing arm and the upper half of his face.
