Fallout 3 was Bethesda's first installment in the long-running series. The game left many fans feeling polarized. They had issues with the story but enjoyed the unique side quests. Even faithful Obsidian Entertainment fans critiqued New Vegas' glitches and animations. Bethesda tried to solve these issues with Fallout 4 in 2015.

Fallout 4 opted to remove most role-playing elements to focus on a male or female voiced protagonist. While fans weren't impressed by the main quest, they praised other portions of the game. Many applauded the closer relationships with companions, more home bases across the Commonwealth, and increase in side quests.

Most fans already know about the non-stop radiant quests, especially from the Minutemen's Preston Garvey. There is more to Fallout 4 than "helping another settlement." The Commonwealth holds a variety of side quests that can net you more bottlecaps, new armor, or even new companions.

Some side quests may not earn the Sole Survivor a shiny new weapon as a reward but will make you think. Their conclusion may have you wondering if you made the right decision to help or harm the "evil" choice. Other quests may not be so in-depth. They will leave you wondering why you're spending time on such an unusual task while having fun at the same time.

Our list compiles some of the most unusual side questions that most gamers have never discovered. While you're taking a break from finding your long-lost son, these quests will help take your Sole Survivor's mind off their grief.

This is a spoiler-filled list for Fallout 4 and all of its DLC.
