Fast-food chain Wendy's has released an epic fantasy pen-and-paper tabletop RPG game where players can take on roles as Baconators and Frosties while fighting evil clowns. Nope, this is not a joke.

Following KFC as the latest fast-food chain to turn their franchise into a game, Wendy's put out Feast of Legends, an RPG heavily inspired by Dungeons and DragonsSet in the world of Beef's Keep, players assume the role of citizens of Freshtovia, ruled by Queen Wendy. (Side note: Wendy is actually of royal descent in this game. The game is not just referring to her as a bad b*tch. Though Wendy is, in fact, a "queen" by today's modern slang.)

Unfortunately, there are forces working to disturb the peace Queen Wendy fought so hard to achieve. Players will traverse the Beef's Keep and battle foes such as the Ice Jester, the ruler of the United Clown Nations. They'll even fight through the Ice Jester's Playhouse (a not-so-subtle jab at fast-food competitor McDonald's play areas). Other enemies include The Creepy King With the Paper Crown, the ruler of Creepingvale (an even more obvious jab at fast-food competitor chain Burger King).

Beyond digs at competitors, the game does feature content specific to Wendy's. Players create characters with five stats (Strength, Intelligence, Charm, Arcana, and Grace) and choose one of twelve Orders, each of which is based on a different Wendy's Menu item. Players can decide between such titles as the Beefy Order of the Baconator, the magical Order of the Frosty, or the rouge-like Order of the Chicken Nugget.

And if players just so happen to tie their gameplay with a meal, they may find themselves receiving additional rewards, as the game grants players bonuses depending on Wendy's food they're eating in real life. Or if they happen to be munching on something from a different restaurant, they'll be hit with a debuff.

For a satirical game created by a food franchise (that's clearly an overblown advertisement for their food), the game is surprisingly complex and intricate. The nearly 100-page book rulebook is available for download on the game's site, and fans of tabletop RPG's will likely find themselves enjoying such a thoughtful and entertaining game. Even if you're not an RPG fan, you'll still undoubtedly get a laugh out of it.
