Whipseey and The Lost Atlas is the latest game from Blowfish Studios. Consisting of five levels, the game features challenging platforming, colorful visuals, and notable boss encounters. Although not on the same difficulty as Mega Man, these boss fights could prove tricky for first time players. This guide will walk you through each of the five boss battles. Let's get started.

Level 1 Boss

Interestingly, the first boss takes place underwater. So, Whipseey can't jump or use his whip to glide over the big jellyfish. You have to maneuver around the boss, but be careful because it moves a lot. Upon starting the fight, feel free to start attacking, but don't stay in one spot for long. The jellyfish will shoot out bubbles. These cannot be destroyed with the whip, but are easy enough to dodge. The jellyfish will soon put an electrical barrier around itself. When that happens, do not attack or be next to it.

Once the jellyfish reaches about half health, it'll start to shoot out two little jellyfishes. These things could be a nuisance, so it's best to destroy them right away. Keep in mind that like the large one, they too can sprout an electrical field, often in sync with the larger one. So, destroy the two little ones right away, and get as many hits on the large one as you can before it utilizes the barrier. Do this a number of times, and you will win.

Level 2 Boss

Unlike the jellyfish, the battle against the spiky boss will require jumping. At the start of the battle, go ahead and attack spiky a few times. When it begins to roll into a ball, get ready to jump over it as it rolls to the other side of the stage. After it uncurls, attack a few times, but be ready to dodge its new attack: fireballs. Spiky will shoot three fireballs. They are easy to jump over if you are away from him.

Spiky will soon rain down two miniature versions of itself. Make sure you are about in the center of the stage so they don't fall on you. These enemies can be destroyed easily, but if you see one heading in the other direction, don't bother and just stick with the larger one. (The larger one will destroy the smaller one when it rolls again.) The larger one will shoot three fireballs again, so be prepared to dodge and go in for the hit. The boss will continue this same pattern, so rinse and repeat until he's destroyed.

Level 3 Boss

Unlike the other two bosses, the cactus is stationary the whole match. However, this imaginative boss can pack a punch. First thing to keep in mind is that the only way to hurt him is striking the head. If you shoot your whip at the body, it will do no damage. So, Whipseey has to jump and strike the head. In the beginning of the match, the cactus will utilize two attacks: a single punch, and a few punches to the ground. Do not stand next to him when he does this. In between these attacks, you can get in three hits if you're quick.

The cactus will reveal his deadliest trick as the match progresses. He will slam the ground and summon a wall of bricks that is hurled at Whipseey. Getting trapped is fatal; it's an instant death upon reaching the back wall. You will want to jump on these blocks, and then back to the ground. Don't wait long to jump either, because there is quicksand at the back of the level. The cactus will begin to block your attacks, but don't let that deter you. Keep attacking its head, and watch when he throws out a punch.

Level 4 Boss

Just like the cactus, this jack-in-the-box is completely stationary during the whole fight. Also like the cactus, Whipseey has to jump to inflict damage. There are a few different things to take note of in this fight. Whipseey is on a conveyor, so if the player stops moving, Whipseey will be forced to go toward a wall of death spikes. So at the start, stay close to Jack and attack him. His first main attack is throwing balls at Whipseey. These may look tricky, but all Whipseey has to do is stay close to Jack. After he finishes throwing the balls, jump and attack. Rinse and repeat.

If you see Jack retreating into his box, go back a little, because he's going to throw out a punch. Also, later in the fight, Jack shoots missiles. Destroy these quickly. Get as many hits as you can when Jack comes back out.

Level 5 Boss

This sinister magician is the final boss, and the hardest. On the onset, attack this guy as much as you can. He's going to summon lightning down, but it won't hit you if you're right next to him, so get those hits in. His next attack is going to require Whipseey to move quickly. He shoots three balls of energy. Unfortunately, these cannot be destroyed with the whip; you are going to have to out-maneuver them. They will disappear after some seconds.

The magician will bring the skeleton enemies to life, so quickly attack the ones in your way. (Keep in mind that this type of enemy will revive.) The magician will also summon a force field similar to the jellyfish, so don't attack him then. The magician will also teleport, much like the Nightmare battle at the end of Kirby's Adventure. Don't fret, just keep attacking and you will be on your way to beating Whipseey and The Lost Atlas.
