Wholesome Direct Recap: All 55 Games Shown

Yesterday, Wholesome Games - an indie games initiative highlighting cute, friendly, compassionate, and cozy video games - hosted its first-ever "Wholesome Direct" live on YouTube, showcasing over 50 upcoming titles worthy of being labeled as wholesome.

Here’s the list of games that were featured.

Button City

Button City is about a group of friends trying to save their local arcade from being demolished, in a colorfully animated, diorama-style world.

Errand Boy

Errand Boy features a little monster with a big heart that runs errands for the whole town.

Ooblets

While the game has already seen a bit of controversy surrounding its exclusivity, Ooblets is a game with adorable little creatures that run around a human world (and apparently love dancing).

Kind Words

Already available, Kind Words is a game about writing nice letters to people, all while enjoying the smooth, relaxing sounds of a lofi soundtrack. A new update for the game was also released with the Wholesome Direct.

Snacko

Kickstarter game, Snacko, is a farming adventure game filled with cute animals on a seemingly deserted island.

Chicory: A Colorful Tale

Chicory puts players in the shoes of the titular character’s number one fan as they embark on a quest to recolor the world and save Chicory.

The Spirit and the Mouse

The Spirit and the Mouse is about a tiny French mouse who - along with her spirit friend - just wants to help people as much as she can.

Spiritfarer

Spiritfarer is a wholesome game… about dying and guiding spirit friends into the afterlife.

Sayri: The Beginning

Sayri is an emotional and beautiful action-adventure platformer with odd creatures within a wondrous, magical world.

Mondo Museum

Mondo Museum is a building sim that lets players curate their very own museum.

Bird Alone

Bird Alone is… a game about a lonely bird (with a garden needing to be planted).

Little Witch in the Woods

Little Witch in the Woods is a charming life sim in which players take on the role of a witch apprentice.

Toem

In Toem, players head out on a picture-taking adventure with the goal of witnessing a magical phenomenon known as “Toem.”

Winding Worlds

Available now on Apple Arcade, Winding Worlds takes players on a whimsical adventure filled with mystery and puzzles.

TokoToko

Available now on iOS and Android mobile devices, TokoToko brings your drawings to life through augmented reality and creativity.

When the Past was Around

From Toge Productions, publisher of the also-wholesome Coffee Time, When the Past was Around is a point-and-click puzzle game about love, moving on, and letting go.

A Space For The Unbound

The second game from Toge Productions, A Space For The Unbound features a pixelated adventure that takes place in rural Indonesia in the 90s, and centers around the themes of anxiety, depression, and a girl with supernatural powers.

Book of Travels

Serene online RPG Book of Travels features roleplaying, exploration, and non-linear narratives with a very intriguing and inviting art design.

Garden Story

As the newly-appointed village guardian in Garden Story, players will be tasked with helping to rebuild their island.

Depanneur Nocturne

Available now on Steam, Depanneur Nocturne is a short, atmospheric exploration game about finding the perfect gift.

Calico

Calico is a puzzle game full of quilts and cats.

Rainy Season

Rainy Season tells a story about an ordinary family spending time at home during the rain with some surprising encounters.

Wayward Strand

Wayward Strand is an interactive novel set within an airborne hospital.
