There will be seven Xbox Series X consoles up for grabs for anyone who tunes into the next-gen console's launch party this Monday.

The next generation of console is almost upon us. Four days from now, Xbox will officially release the Series X and Series S worldwide. The PS5's release will follow two days after that in certain parts of the world, and then be available to everyone else the following week. It's about to be a very busy week or two for both Xbox and PlayStation.

Xbox will be kicking things off the night before the release of its new consoles via a launch party in the UK. A virtual one, of course, since the UK is currently in lockdown. The event will take place live on Xbox's official Twitch channel starting at 6 pm GMT on Monday, November 9, 2020. Those who tune in will be able to count down to release day with the console's creators.

They will also have a chance to win one of seven Series X consoles. Xbox revealed the news via its trailer for the event but did not reveal how exactly viewers will be able to get their hands on one of the prizes. That might not become clear until the event begins this Monday, and all we know right now is viewers will have to complete interactive challenges. However, even without the potential of winning a Series X, this will definitely be something worth tuning in for.

It promises all-new gameplay from games such as Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, Sea of Thieves, and Yakuza: Like A Dragon. Since Xbox head Phil Spencer has revealed the company's next-gen console shortages will continue into 2021, this might be the best look some people get at these games for the time being. Unless you win one of the seven consoles up for grabs, of course.

The stream will countdown to midnight at which point the Series X and Series S will officially be released in the UK. The stream will end with a spectacular holographic display set against London’s skyline. The stream begins at 6 pm GMT on Monday, November 9, 2020, on Xbox's official Twitch channel. You should also keep an eye on Xbox UK's Twitter account and TheGamer for further updates about the event.
