There are several witchers in the witcher 3, and each witcher has their own distinct background. It can vary from which witcher school they trained at to their age. With all of these factors, their details can differ, but even so, becoming a witcher is no easy task, and only the strongest survive. 8 Jad Karadin

Height: Unknown, but close to Geralt's height.

There is not much information on Jad Karadin, only that he killed Lambert’s friend when Jad used to be an assassin. During Witcher 3, he has become a changed man and renounced his witcher duties, instead electing to raise a family with the woman he loves.

When he was a Witcher, he trained at the School of the Cat. Unfortunately, there is no official source on his age, height, or birthday.

7 Letho of Gulet

Age: Never Stated, but has the appearance of someone in their forties.

Height: 6'1"

Birth Year: Unknown.

It’s understandable if you have a complex relationship with Letho. For instance, he might not be in The Witcher 3, depending on your decision in The Witcher 2. Letho is a big dude, standing at a very tall 6’1”.

His birthday is unknown, but official sources say he was born in Tameria. Letho trained at the School of Vipers. He's a tough dude and you don't want to get on his bad side. If you play your cards right, he might just help you later in The Witcher 3.

6 Gaetan

Height: Unknown, but we can assume his height is close to Geralt's height.

Birth Year: Unknown.

Continuing this trend of witcher’s details being mysterious is Gaetan. When Geralt finds Gaetan in The Witcher 3, Gaetan is in a bit of a rough place. Spoilers ahead, Gaetan wiped out an entire village. Being a witcher does not mean you have control over your emotions.

Anyways, it leaves Geralt in a bit of a unique position. Regardless, the only detail we know about Gaetan’s past is that he trained at the Cat School.

5 Vesemir

Height: 6'0"

Birth Year: Unknown.

Vesemir is everyone's favorite mentor/father figure. Vesemir has established himself as a fan favorite in the series because of his kind nature. What fans might not know is that Vesemir is well over 100 years old.

Not only that, but Vesemir also stands at a respectable 6’0" tall. Although, his birthdate or birthplace remains unknown.

His age makes him the oldest living witcher, but that does not stop him from kicking butt. He trains younger witchers at Kear Morhen and acts as a mentor figure for most of them. Famously, he instructed Geralt and Ciri.

4 Eskel

Height: 6'0"

Birth Year: 1175

Eskel was born in 1175, the same year another Witcher you might know called Geralt. Speaking of which, Geralt and Eskel of friends from youth. It is unknown where Eskel was born, but if he was born in 1175.

That would make him about 97 years old in The Witcher 3. Eskel is 6’0” tall and trained at the Wolf School. What sets Eskel apart from the pack is that he is better with Magic. Plus, Eskel is just a reliable guy when it comes down to the wire.

3 Lambert

Age: Uknown, but looks like he's is middle-aged.

Height: 5'11"

Birth Year: Never stated.

All that is available about the age of Lambert is that he is the same age as Coen, a witcher we do not see in this game. Unfortunately, his birthday is unknown, so his exact age is also unknown.

Lambert's height is known, however, and he stands at 5’11”. Like many of the witchers in The Witcher 3, Lambert trained at the Wolf School under Vesemir.

Perhaps the mystery of his background is because he is not as famous and beloved as Geralt, which feeds into his jealousy of Geralt.

2 Geralt of Rivia

Birth Year: 1175

Geralt is the main protagonist of the Witcher series. Do not be fooled by Geralt's name, as he is not from Rivia. If anything, that name is more of a PR stunt by Vesemir. Despite his age, Geralt's appearance is that of a man in his late middle age.

He trained at the Wold School when becoming a witcher. Geralt also adopted Ciri as his ward after invoking the Law of Surprise. After which, he took Ciri to Kaer Morhen and trained her to become a witcher.

1 Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon

Height: 5'9"

Birth Year: 1252 or 1253

​​​​​​​Cirilla was born a Princess of Cintra but eventually became Geralt's ward due to the Law of Surprise deal he made with Duny. Ciri was born in 1252 or 1253 in Skellige in Belletyen. That means that Ciri is around 21 during events of The Witcher 3.

Ciri trained at the Wolf School under Geralt of Rivia, Vesemir, and other witchers. She quickly grows to become incredibly powerful and even learns to travel across space and time. This ability attracts The Wild Hunt, who want to use her powers to conquer the world.

Ciri's fate is in your hands in The Witcher 3, and she is arguably the most consequential witcher to ever exist.
