CD Projekt Red has been at work on a patch that should address the issues that players have been experiencing in The Witcher 3's "next-gen" update. The Witcher 3 was updated with major performance and graphics enhancements for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series last month, along with some new content inspired by the Netflix TV series. Visually, the game has never looked better, but with the update there also came a host of new visual bugs, technical issues, and glitches. The good news is that players shouldn't have long to wait now for the patch for these problems. Related: Hearts Of Stone Is The Witcher 3 At Its Very BestOn Twitter, the official Witcher account tweeted that a new patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition is coming "very soon". When users commented when this might be more specifically, a CDPR representative clarified further.

"How soon is soon?" was commented underneath the above tweet. CD Projekt Red Global Community Director Marcin Momot replied that it was "definitely not this week" referring to January 23 to 29. So how about this coming week, January 30 to February 5? "Hopefully", Momot said, but this is "still pending confirmation".

As the numerous other comments under the tweet demonstrate, players are still having a hard time of it with The Witcher 3's updated game as many face bugs and glitches. The patch has been much wanted for weeks now while CDPR only broke its silence over the issue last week, when Momont said that the studio has been "quietly working" on the patch and that it is in its final stages.

CD Projekt Red may release the patch next week, but since it's hopeful and not yet confirmed we'll have to wait and see if it makes it. Watch this space as they say.
