If you're one of the many fans playing Witcher 3 again, or for the first time, we've compiled a guide to the many romances in the game. Geralt has the option of romancing multiple paramours; all of them are beautiful and captivating women in their own right. We're ranking them by their overall intelligence, although we should note that all of these women are brilliant in their own way. Keep in mind that we didn't include the women of the brothels, as there are a lot of them, and they're not necessarily defined characters like the other women on this list.

7 Jutta An Dimun

You can encounter Jutta An Dimun while you're exploring the Faroe Islands in Skelliege. She is known as the "Iron Maiden" by any thanks to her proficiency at swordsmanship. Jutta is a dedicated swordswoman. Many have challenged her over the years, yet none have managed to beat her in a duel. Jutta made a promise only to marry a man who could defeat her, which will be your goal if you decide to accept her challenge. Should you win, you'll have the option to romance Jutta. As a gifted swordswoman, Jutta is skilled and smart enough to excel at her craft.

That said, we don't know much about her outside of her combative talents. She has the intelligence to remain diligent and dedicated to her gift, but beyond that, there's not enough to assume what else she knows.

6 Sylvia Anna

Sylvia Anna aka Syanna in The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt 'Blood and Wine DLC'

Sylvia Anna, or Syanna, as she's known to many, is a romance you can only reach once you get to the Blood and Wine DLC expansion pack. Syanna is the central romance in Blood and Wine. If you decide to get affectionate with Syanna, it won't affect your relationship with Triss or Yennefer. Syanna is a complicated woman with a tragic upbringing.

Her parents believed she was afflicted with the Curse of the Black Sun. Syanna's roguish manner as a child didn't help disprove that theory. She often got into trouble and pulled pranks, some that even ended in bloodshed. Syanna is cunning, but she often lacks common sense and ultimately lets her thirst for vengeance blind her. She was once romantically involved with a vampire and then used him to go on a murder spree as revenge against those that stripped her birthright and banished her from her home of Touissant.

5 Madame Sasha

Madame Sasha -- real name Carthia van Canten -- is another romance you will only be able to access through the completion of a lengthy sidequest. You'll need to take part in the High Stakes quest in Novigrad and enter a competitive Gwent Tournament at Passiflora.

Sasha is the madame of the Passiflora brothel, but don't underestimate her. She is a skilled Gwent player, and among the fiercest opponents, you'll encounter in the game. Sasha is a strategist. She knows how to read people, and she understands the subtle mechanics of the infamous card game. Not only does she know how to employ her wit and intellect in the game, but she is skilled at persuading men to do her bidding in real life as well.

4 Keira Metz

Out of all the romance options in the game, Keira is generally the first one you'll encounter. That can vary depending on the route you take, but usually, players travel to Velen before Novigrad, and that's where Keira is located. She is an important character in the Witcher series. Keira is the former advisor to King Foltest and a member of the Lodge of Sorceresses. In the game, Keira is hiding out in Midcopse, pretending to be a local village witch to maintain a low-profile. Keira is crafty and smart, but she is also eccentric and somewhat selfish.

She uses Geralt (if you romance her) to lift a curse and steal notes that reveal a method to create a deadly infection with the intention of handing it over to Radovid. If you let her go through with it, Radovid burns her at the stake because she foolishly trusts that he'll allow her to live.

3 Triss Merigold

Triss is yet another powerful and gorgeous sorceress that you can romance in the game. She is one of two main romances, and if you decide to move forward with Triss, then you'll sacrifice your relationship with Yennefer (or you can try to have both to poor results).

Triss and Geralt's relationship is complicated, and if you've played the previous games or read the books, you'll know why. But for the most part, Triss is whip-smart and can concoct a myriad of potions and spells. However, at times she can be blinded by love, especially when it comes to Geralt.

2 Yennefer of Vengerberg

Yennefer is the second of your two main romance options in the game. Like Triss, Yennefer is an extremely powerful sorceress. She is considered Geralt's soulmate, and she also acts as a motherly figure towards Ciri. Even though Geralt is a weakness for Yennefer, she is more emotionally reserved and able to think on her feet without letting her feelings get in the way. That's not to say that Triss can't, but Yennefer is often considered cold and unforgiving for a reason.

She is a woman who understands that sometimes the hardest choice is the right one. However, she will still do whatever it takes to protect those she loves and is a master at using her craft.

1 Shani

You will only get a chance to meet and romance Shani if you play the DLC expansion Hearts of Stone. Shani is a skilled doctor who studied at Oxenfurt Academy. She and Geralt are old friends.

You can have a relationship with her that won't affect any others in the game. She even runs her own clinic in Oxenfurt. While Shani may not have the skills of a sorceress, she certainly has book smarts. Becoming a medic is no small feat.
