After all this time, we have finally gotten some real news regarding the next season of The Witcher. Due to the massive success of The Witcher, a WitcherCon event was announced that would take place on today, July 9. CD Projekt Red and Netflix have teamed up to bring us this brilliant event, and we’ve already gotten some gold out of it.

Originally, we were given an incredibly brief trailer showing an emphasis on Ciri, but not much else. Fans spent time trying to really figure out what was happening in the trailer but weren’t able to make a ton of headway. Shortly after, we got a second trailer that was equally as cryptic. This trailer followed Geralt as opposed to Ciri, but aside from a quick, “are you ready” followed by someone shouting “run,” we again did not have all that much to go on.

Now, we’ve been informed that The Witcher season two will officially be coming out on December 17 on Netflix. In addition though, we’ve also been provided with some new photos that give more of a look into some of the happenings that we can expect to see this December. One photo features Ciri, the other features fan-favorite, Jaskier.

Considering that the Witcher season 2 has been majorly delayed due to Covid, fans are stoked to see its official return. The best part is that, despite its delay, the new season will still be coming out this year, so the wait isn’t too excruciating.
