Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty's Divine Beasts are based on legendary creatures from Chinese mythology, and they give you various benefits and buffs depending on which one you equip. There are ten beasts, and each of them is tied to the story progression.

Divine Beasts are attuned to one of the five phases in Wo Long, which is something to consider when choosing the best one for your build. Each one gives flat bonuses to various stats, but the main event is using them as a summon. When the Divine Beast gauge fills, you can empty the gauge to call them into fights to perform a one-time attack or infuse them into your weapon and enhance your attacks for a time.

10 Zhuque

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty - Divine Beast Zhuque menu information

Despite looking extremely cool, Zhuge is one of the worst Divine Beasts in the game. The initial burst of flame that appears when you summon them is fine, but the attack used by Zhuque is too linear, and it will regularly miss considering how fast most enemies move.

Zhuque is attuned to Fire, which gives you plenty of combat-orientated bonuses like more Spirit gain from attacks and improved damage from Martial Arts, but; keeping a Divine Beast for the stat increases isn't recommended. If you love Zhuque, this is one of the rare times we suggest using the Resonation for a decent fire-imbued weapon.

9 Qilin

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty - Divine Beast Qilin menu screen

As the first Divine Beast you get, Qilin is fairly underwhelming. Summoning them will push enemies back from you and create several stone pillars. If an enemy touches any of the pillars, they will break and deal damage to them.

All of the Divine Beast summons have their powers enhanced if your morale rank is higher than 10, and in Qilin's case, more pillars will be summoned. Resonating with Qilin will apply stone damage to your weapon and increases automatic Spirit recovery. For the most part, Resonating with your Divine Beast is rarely advised.

8 Baize

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty - Divine Beast Baize menu screen

Baize is another lacklustre Divine Beast, performing one of the more strange abilities when summoned. Calling on Baize in combat will highlight any enemy in a small search radius, marking the enemies with a glowing blue dot.

It sounds beneficial, but you shouldn't ever need Baize's help to detect enemies when all they do is highlight ones likely in your field of vision. After finding enemies, Baize will fire icicles at them, but for this to happen, Baize needs to have found an enemy when summoned. It's too rigid for a Divine Beast skill, rarely helping in any situation.

7 Tengshe

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty - Divine Beast Tengshe menu screen

Tengshe, a large flying snake, is attuned to the Metal Phase. Due to this, Tengshe's abilities are all about applying Toxins and creating pools of poison to impair foes. Situationally, this can be extremely decent when dealing with bosses or large groups of enemies.

Summoning Tengshe will create a wave of poison where they appear. Tengshe will also fire out several globes of poison at each enemy, while the poison pool will persist. With this much poison around, you will have no trouble debuffing enemies who get caught in the radius.

6 Baihu

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty - Divine Beast Baihu menu screen

A lot of Baihu's stat increases are nothing to write home about, but they are one of the few Divine Beasts that stays on the field for a while after being summoned, attacking enemies and helping you deal with crowds.

While this is helpful in the early game, it doesn't do a whole lot when you have Followers around to help most of the time. Baihu doesn't perform many attacks, so you might feel they are generally underwhelming when summoned. However, as they are on the field, they will serve as a slight distraction to enemies.

5

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty - Divine Beast Xiezhi menu screen

Xiezhi functions similarly to Baihu but does everything a bit better. Xiezhi is bigger than Baihu, meaning their hits on enemies will connect more regularly. When summoned, Xiezhi will charge around the battlefield and cause burning on enemies they hit. Each frame of their charge has attack frames, making it reliable against larger enemies.

If you want a Fire-based build that focuses on pure damage-dealing, Xiezhi will be your go-to Divine Beast. The passive stats only increase the effectiveness of Martial Arts, which is something to keep in mind if you want to use Xiezhi; Martial Arts should be mixed into your combos.

4 Bixie

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty - Divine Beast Bixie menu screen

Bixie is a brilliant all-purpose Divine Beast unless you're against an enemy with lightning resistance. Summoning Bixie will create a continuous wave of lightning around a small area, and lightning bolts will crash down on enemies at set intervals.

The lightning damage is potent, as is the shocked debuff, which will keep enemies staggered and let you take advantage of the large AoE this summon provides. Bixie also has another passive ability that gives you more Morale points per kill, allowing you to level that up fast during missions.

3 Xuanwu

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty - Divine Beast Xuanwu menu screen

As the penultimate Divine Beast, Xuanwu is easily one of the most useful for dealing damage to enemies. Summon Xuanwu to call forth a frost wave that will constantly harass enemies, as well as attack foes who get close with a barrage of icicles. Each icicle builds up the chilled debuff, which will be useful against bosses.

Due to how beneficial Summoning Xuanwu is, you should never use the Resonation skill. All it does is imbue your weapon with ice, but you can do that with Wizardry.

2 Qinglong

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty - Divine Beast Qinglong menu screen

You get Qinglong early in the game, and they are arguably one of the most powerful Divine Beasts you can get throughout. When summoned, Qinglong creates a healing ring that will constantly restore HP. The HP restoration is so potent you and your allies will be hard-pressed to die inside the healing field.

The best part about Qinglong is that if you summon them by any downed Followers or allies, they will be revived to half HP and continue to be healed while they remain in the field. Summoning Qinglong is so powerful that you shouldn't ever need to use the secondary function unless you want to deal more damage for a time. Overall, Qinglong is perfect for healing and attacking.

1 Yinglong

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty - Divine Beast Yinglong menu screen

Yinglong is the final Divine Beast you get, demonstrated by their ability to revive you if you die. You don't need to summon Yinglong for this; simply die while the summon gauge is full. The skill will automatically trigger, bringing you back to life as many times as you can fill the summon bar. You can also use Yinglong to attack enemies, but the revival is the best use.

Generally speaking, you will always want to keep this self-revive in the bag if things go south, but you can use the Divine Beast Resonation to decrease how much damage you take and imbue your weapon with Stone. Simply equipping Yinglong also increases all equipment drops from enemies to be A rank or higher, which is a nice bonus.
