It’s no secret that there’s no shortage of new grinds to be had in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. Among these grinds is the Obsidian Citadel key farm which, to say the least, has a lot going on. With four NPCs to turn your keys into and each one giving their own rewards, there’s one NPC in particular that eventually leads to you getting a mount.
The Scrappy Worldsnail is no Dragonriding mount, instead being a ground mount that is a lava snail — and it looks absolutely fantastic. So, if you’re interested in snagging this beast but are unsure how to get it, stick around and this article will lay it out for you.
Unlocking The Worldbreakers
In order to even start your grind for getting the Scrappy Worldsnail, you need to complete the side quest chain The Shadow of His Wings. This is part of the Sojourner of the Waking Shores achievement, too.
You’ll pick up two quests — Punching Up and A Cultist’s Misgivings — from Ingot (37.4, 46.6 or 39.4, 48.2), a tiny dragonkin of the Black Dragonflight. From there, you’ll continue the quest chain until you complete The Shadow of His Wings.
Becoming A Worldbreaker
The next step is becoming a Worldbreaker, and to do so, you need to get your hands on a Worldbreaker Membership. This is only obtainable for the first time from the Twilight Cache that Igys the Believer gives you for turning in a Restored Obsidian Key. It is not a guaranteed drop, but it is relatively high, so come with a few keys prepared.
The Worldbreaker Membership is a unique item, so you cannot stack up on these in your bag.
Once you use your Worldbreaker Membership, you will officially be a Worldbreaker, but only for a couple of days. The catch is if you die, you lose your Worldbreaker status, but the good news is, you don’t have to turn another key in to get a membership; you can buy another membership from Dealer Vexil (34.8, 46.6) for 20 Magmotes.
Where To Get Magmotes
In order to get your Scrappy Worldsnail, you need to turn in 1,000 Magmotes to Dealer Vexil. There are a few ways you can get Magmotes:
- Turn in more Restored Obsidian Keys to Igys.
- Complete the weekly quest from Doventhal the Chosen (35.2, 45.8). You can only pick this quest up as a Worldbreaker, and it rewards 25 Magmotes.
- Kill regular and elite mobs in the Obsidian Citadel. You can only loot Magmotes off their corpses if you’re a Worldbreaker.
Once you’ve got your 1,000 Magmotes (or if you need to buy another membership), head on over to Dealer Vexil to purchase the Slumbering Worldsnail Shell. Use it to learn for your very own Scrappy Worldsnail.
