In a press release discussing its financial gains for last year, developer Team17 has revealed that Worms Rumble will be making the jump over to Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch sometime in 2021. That's maybe not the most concrete of release dates, but it confirms you won't need to have a PC or Sony platform to enjoy the game in the future.

In a press release, CEO Debbie Bestwick said, "I am delighted that our Teamsters and the wider Team17 family have pulled together, in what has been a challenging 12 months for many. It is because of their hard work and creativity, alongside that of our brilliant label partners, that we can report yet another record year of profitability." To that end, the company posted a growth of between 30-45% in most categories (which you can find here).

One of the biggest features of Rumble was its cross-play multiplayer support. Allowing players on PC, PS4, and PS5 to play together, it stands to reason that these new ports will feature the same matchmaking system. I haven't recently looked that Worms Rumble, but that is sure to help the player numbers from dwindling too much.

As well as talking about Worms Rumble, Team17 revealed that WW2 shooter Hell Let Loose will be heading to Xbox Series X and PS5 soon. As well as that, Overcooked! All You Can Eat (the compilation bundle of Overcooked 1 and 2) is prepping itself for a release on PC and consoles in the near future. It seems like Team17 has a big 2021 planned.
