During your World of Warcraft adventures in Northrend, you will inevitably end up in Dalaran. Home to the Kirin Tor, a collection of the most powerful Mages in Azeroth, Classic Wrath of the Lich King will find you seeking to earn their admiration.

The Kirin Tor oversee the proceedings of the magical city from the Violet Citadel and seek to unravel the mysteries of Northrend in order to defeat the Lich King, making them an important and powerful faction. This guide will show you where to find the Kirin Tor faction, the best ways to increase your reputation with them, and what rewards you can buy by doing so.

How To Increase Kirin Tor Reputation

World of Warcraft Classic Wrath Of The Lich King Kirin Tor Quartermaster

To begin your Kirin Tor reputation grind, you must first progress from Neutral to Friendly. This will require you to gain 3,000 reputation points, primarily achieved via questing.

The first quests you can access come in the Borean Tundra region. To reach the requirement, however, you would have to complete a large portion of this zone, which is not particularly efficient.

It is recommended to progress into Dragonblight as soon as possible and pick up any quests from Star's Rest. This will require you to be level 71 to begin, but there is a healthy amount of easy-to-complete quests here, and they should easily take you into Friendly.

From there, feel free to continue questing, but the hard part is over, and you no longer need to be concerned with targeting Kirin Tor quests. This is because you can now buy the Tabard of the Kirin Tor from the quartermaster.

The Kirin Tor Quartermaster is Archmage Alvareaux, who can be found at the top of the stairs at the back of the Violet Citadel in Dalaran.

You can now relax with reputation until you reach a much higher level, as the Tabard's effect will only activate in level 80 Normal mode dungeons and all Heroics. Once you are eligible to participate in these instances, simply equip the Tabard, and all enemies will grant you Kirin Tor reputation all the way to Exalted.

As you will want to be farming these instances for gear anyway, it makes reputation grinding extremely efficient.

The Daily quest to complete a specific Heroic Dungeon will also allow you to select a reputation token

The following dungeons will provide Kirin Tor reputation on Normal difficulty:

Caverns of Time - The Culling of Stratholme
The Oculus
Ulduar: Halls of Lightning
Utgarde Pinnacle

If you choose to play a Human (Alliance only) in WotLK, then you will gain increased reputation from all sources.
