WWE 2K has confirmed 79 of the Superstars who will be on the WWE 2K20 roster, but there will still be plenty of announcements in the future.

We are now less than two weeks away from the release of WWE 2K20. It is common practice for the developers to gradually release its roster every year, and this time around is no different. The official reveal began earlier this week and so far, 79 different Superstars have been confirmed as being a part of the WWE 2K20 roster.

The majority of that group is made up of expected inclusions. Superstars such as Shinsuke Nakamura, Ruby Riott, and this year's cover stars, Becky Lynch, and Roman Reigns. However, there are a few new and very welcome additions to the roster. Keith Lee and Rhea Ripley will make their WWE video game debuts, while Matt Riddle will be a part of the initial roster rather than in a DLC pack like he was in WWE 2K19.

Confirmation of the legends included with the SmackDown Deluxe Edition of WWE 2K20 were also a part of the reveal. Hulk Hogan, Mankind, and Chyna, who will be making her first appearance in a WWE game in 19 years. 79 Superstars is far from a complete roster when it comes to 2K's WWE games though, so there's definitely a lot more to come.

Now, it's time to speculate as to who else might make the cut. One thing we do know is that Tomasso Ciampa and Nikki Cross will be playable characters this time around. Last year, despite both wrestlers being active roster members at the time, Ciampa and Cross inexplicably didn't make the cut. However, both were featured during a recent 2K20 gameplay trailer that dropped online, so no worries yet.

That same trailer also revealed that Jerry Lawler will be a playable character for the first time in six years rather than just a voice from the announcer's desk. As for who else might be included—the sky's the limit. Some fans will be hoping Kushida signed in enough time to have made WWE 2K's deadline, while others will want a deeper roster of female legends. After all, this year's showcase mode is based on WWE's women's revolution.
