WWE 2K20 is releasing soon, and the publishers will soon release the list of rosters. One of the things most gamers are looking forward to is the small, elite list of overpowered characters. In last year’s title, WWE 2K19, the most overpowered characters were The Rock and Brock Lesnar, who both got a rating of 93. They were closely followed by Stone Cold Steve Austin, John Cena and Roman Reigns.
This year should shake things up a little, but it’s virtually guaranteed that there will be some overpowered wrestlers that everyone will want to play and get an unfair advantage. Some classic characters have made a comeback in the past year, and some current wrestlers have gone from strength to strength to become champions of the ring. We have considered the possibilities, and this is our list of the wrestlers we think will be overpowered in WWE 2K20.
10 Sting
He’s not that recognizable to today’s young WWE fans, but Sting remains a WCW legend. As such, his return to wrestling was met with a lot of excitement. However, his run was brief and was not that impressive; Triple H defeated him at WrestleMania, then Seth Rollins injured him in a match; this injury ended Sting’s wrestling career.
Sting is still contracted to the WWE under the Legends contract. Thanks to this, there’s a high chance that he will feature in WWE 2K20. If he does, his rating might be in the upper 80s or lower 90s.
9 Goldberg
Goldberg was once the biggest star in WCW, and his stock was so high that he even went on to star in a few films. However, his comeback hasn’t been all that impressive; especially his match with The Undertaker.
That said, WWE brought him back for this year’s SummerSlam to face Dolph Ziggler, even though Ziggler had been meant to fight The Miz. Goldberg won that match, which should give his rating a boost. In WWE 2K19, he got a rating of 90. We expect that to go up in the upcoming title.
8 The Undertaker
The Undertaker has been one of the biggest names in WWE since the 90s. However, this legend of the ring is past his prime, which was visible in his match versus Goldberg. He has also wrestled very little in the past few years, and in those performances, he has not impressed that much; with the exception of his Extreme Rules match. Despite this, he remains a firm fan-favorite, and WWE has constantly used him as an incredibly powerful wrestler. So, he should be featured in WWE 2K20 as one of the strongest characters, despite his actual strength in the ring.
7 The Rock
Even though he hasn’t wrestled in a while, The Rock is arguably the biggest wrestler of the past decade. This is mainly thanks to his status as one of the biggest movie stars in the world; as such, he’s become a household name throughout the world.
He probably won’t appear in the WWE anytime soon, except for a cameo or two. But even so, he will likely be featured in WWE 2K20 as a playable character. And his overall rating will probably be in the 90s. His appearance, after all, will help to boost sales of the game.
6 Charlotte Flair
A second-generation pro wrestler, Charlotte Flair is the daughter of WWE legend Ric Flair. And she has done her dad proud, featuring prominently in the Women’s Division of the WWE. She has won multiple titles, and in Wrestlemania 35, she wrestled against Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch in the main event. She has her father’s charisma, and she has made a name for herself in the ring; in fact, she has almost surpassed the number of titles won by Ric Flair. So, she should feature in WWE 2K20, and will probably have a nice overall rating.
5 AJ Styles
When ‘The Phenomenal’ AJ Styles was featured in WWE 2K19, he wasn’t just the cover star; he was also one of the highest-rated stars, with an overall rating of 91. Back then, he deserved the acclaim he got; he was the WWE Champion, and he had beaten some of the best wrestlers. However, reaching the pinnacle of the WWE seemed to be enough for AJ Styles, as he soon gave his title to Daniel Bryan and stopped featuring in main event matches. This should affect his rating in WWE 2K20, but not by much; he’s still a damn good wrestler, after all.
4 Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns has one of the most glittering WWE careers of the past decade. He has won the WWE Championship three times, the United States Championship, the Intercontinental Championship and more. WWE also pushed hard for him to become the face of their brand, which they still do, but in a slightly less aggressive manner.
As such, Roman Reigns has been featured in previous WWE games with consistently high ratings. After his appearance in the Hobbs and Shaw film alongside The Rock, his ratings will almost certainly remain high in WWE 2K20.
3 Brock Lesnar
Brock Lesnar has been one of the most overpowered WWE stars, especially in recent titles. And with good reason, too. He has beaten long-time champions like John Cena, bigger fighters like Braun Strowman, and WrestleMania legends like The Undertaker. In short, he’s the ultimate fighter. He has lost some of his recent matches. However, that shouldn’t knock too many points off his overall in WWE 2K20. In fact, we suspect he will be among the highest-rated stars in the game, with an overall rating well into the 90s.
2 Becky Lynch
Becky Lynch is one of the latest stars in the WWE. She has risen organically to the top over the past few years, and she reached the top when she defeated strong champions like Ronda Rousey. She is currently the Raw Women’s Champion, and her popularity has risen to the extent that she features on the cover art of WWE 2K20. If the WWE has taken her that seriously, it makes sense that she would get one of the highest ratings in the game. In fact, it would be no surprise if she became one of the few wrestlers to reach the mid-90s.
1 Seth Rollins
Seth Rollins lived up to his title of ‘The Beast Slayer’ in 2019. He defeated Brock Lesnar at both WrestleMania and SummerSlam, won the Royal Rumble, and is currently a WWE double champion. His Tag Team duo with Braun Strowman has also paid dividends as the two have tied the record for WWE Raw Tag Team Champions. As if that wasn’t enough, Rollins is also engaged to Becky Lynch, and both of them will feature on the cover of WWE 2K20. So, it’s virtually a no-brainer that Seth Rollins will be the highest-rated star in WWE 2K20.
