SmackDown Live superstar Asuka is now the presumably proud owner of a YouTube gaming channel.

The popular wrestler, who is one of the top talents in WWE's women's division, has been with the promotion from 2015, but her relationship with wrestling began way back in 2004 in her native Japan.

Before that, though, she worked as a graphic designer and freelance video game journalist. The 37-year-old, whose real name is Kanako Urai, has worked with Microsoft and was sponsored by the company during her time in the industry. She's also written for Xbox Magazine and has done the graphics for a few Nintendo DS titles.

Last week, the former SmackDown Women's champion set tongues wagging after posting photos and videos of herself setting up a gaming room on Instagram. She also teased the logo that would become the face of what's now known as KanaChanTV.

Asuka posted her first video this Tuesday taking on a pretty difficult speedrun course from Nintendo's Super Mario Maker 2. Some parts of her audio are in untranslated Japanese so we don't know exactly what she's saying all of the time but the excitement and enthusiasm totally made up for that - plus she's a pretty good Mario player.

At the time of writing, the video had garnered over 63,000 views and over 19,000 had subscribed to the channel.

Asuka is not the only WWE superstar with a gaming channel on YouTube. Fellow SmackDown performer Austin Creed, who's wrestling name is Xavier Woods, also has a very popular channel called UpUpDownDown.

The New Day member is a known video game enthusiast who's been appearing at SDCC, E3, and various other gaming forums; his channel has over two million subscribers. He's also one of the WWE characters who were recently included in Brawlhalla (along with The Rock, John Cena, and Becky Lynch).

We expect that Asuka and Woods could work together on various presentations in the future as a crossover between channels would be pretty cool.

In the meantime, we're eagerly awaiting Asuka's next video. She was pretty busy with SmackDown on Tuesday night so we'll try not to be impatient but it's hoped that she could put something else out before her next show.
