According to Windows Central’s Jez Corden, Xbox has "at least" two more big games that will be released in 2021. "I know of at least two games, big games, that aren’t on that list that are coming from Xbox in 2021,", Corden said in a recent The Xbox Two podcast.

Fans have speculated that one of the games could be Forza Horizon 5, the follow-up to 2018’s Forza Horizon 4, racing game developed by Playground Games and published by Microsoft Studios. The second game may be Wolfenstein III, the final game in the rebooted Wolfenstein trilogy, which is being developed by MachineGames and will be published by Bethesda Softworks.

Xbox Game Studios is currently set to release Halo Infinite and Psychonauts 2 this year. In addition, several games have TBA release dates, including Age of Empires IV, As Dusk Falls, Everwild, Fable 4, Hellblade 2, Forza Motorsport 8, Perfect Dark, Project Mara, State of Decay 3, and several Bethesda games.

In addition, Xbox's Narrative Director Dave Morgan revealed on his LinkedIn profile that a major unannounced AAA open-world project is currently in development. "As Narrative Director on the Xbox Game Studios Publishing team, oversee all narrative-related elements for multiple XBOX first-party franchises, most recently the critically-acclaimed Microsoft Flight Simulator and other exciting new AAA titles yet to be announced," he added.

Other projects that have been mentioned online include The Initiative's Perfect Dark reboot. Last April, an upcoming project assigned to the newly founded Microsoft studio was rumored to be a new Perfect Dark game. The project was said to run on Unreal Engine 4 and feature "various weapons, gadgets, and a camera surveillance system." In December, the new game was officially announced at The Game Awards.

Also, Compulsion Games, which was acquired by Xbox Game Studios in 2018, is reportedly working on a new title. On Linkedin, the studio was looking for a new writer. “We like to take on troublesome themes. We try to make characters with compelling, human flaws. We mix darkness and comedy. Our games are hard to write,“ the job posting said.

It remains to be seen which unannounced games will be released by Xbox Game Studios this year. However, after Microsoft revealed plans to acquire ZeniMax and its family of studios, which include Bethesda Game Studios, Arkane Studios, id Software, MachineGames, Tango Gameworks, and ZeniMax Online Studios, on September 21, 2020 for more than $7.5 billion, anything is possible.
