From an initial look, the story seems prominent but not impactful. It feels like the game will focus more on the puzzles and the atmosphere rather than a meaningful story. However, while there are a fair amount of puzzles, the atmosphere simply serves to compliment the wonderfully immersive storyline. It keeps it simple while also making it impactful and emotional. Similar to the likes of Ori, this is perfect for any gamer who prefers to sit back and think rather than shoot their way through a problem.

1 Gears Of War

The entire Gears of War series is definitely worth playing if you haven't already. That being said, if you're purely looking for a story-heavy game then try out Gears of War 3. As the third game in the series, the developers were congratulated over and over for their skill in the graphics, music, and the wonderfully engaging story that encompasses this third-person shooter.

It may be good to play the previous two so you get a bit more of a connection with the plot and gameplay but that's not completely necessary due to how easy it is to understand what's happening. The wonderful story is filled with moments where you feel like a badass but also puts you in some pretty tear-jerking situations. That being said, once playing this game, you'll never forget the brilliance of the story and the game as a whole.
