Big news today for all players of Red Dead Redemption 2, especially those on Xbox One, as new features come to spice things up in the game. Starting today, all players can dive into both the Last Stand and Make It Count: Ancient Tomahawk Showdown Modes. Until now, both were included as PlayStation 4 Early Access exclusive content.
Additional Early Access content such as the Ancient Tomahawk, Perlino Andalusian Horse, clothing and emotes are also now available to all players. There are also a number of time-limited discounts and bonuses to enjoy, so get into the game and check them all out!
To begin with, the brutal Ancient Tomahawk arrives on Xbox One alongside the non-stop action of the Make It Count: Ancient Tomahawk Showdown Mode. Players can find the Ancient Tomahawk from any of the Fence locations, which can be found in Saint Denis, Rhodes, Emerald Ranch, Van Horn or Thieves Landing.
Other new additions that were previously Early Access exclusives now available for Xbox One players are the Perlino Andalusian Horse, Belanger Saddle, Finley Jacket, Stenger Studded Spurs and Caldwell Hat, as well as two new Emotes, "Boast", and "Hey, You." Finally, the climactic, free-for-all carnage of Last Stand makes its way to Xbox One.
Fashion cowpokes can take advantage of two new clothing items, the Common Flat Cap and the Horsfall Overshirt, both of which are in stock at local Tailors across the five states.
The Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Catalogue has expanded its catalogue of offerings for both garments and accessories, but only for a limited time, including:
- Griffith Chaps - Warm bison fur paired with tough leather and featuring bold stitches and button-up pockets. Practical yet striking
- Charro Jacket - This grand, fully lined, deerskin Charro Jacket features a handstitched brocade and brass buttons on the breast and cuffs
- Clymene Coat - A stunning two-tone design, this coat features soft tiered top grain leather and fancy brass buttons
- Vaquero Baroque Spurs - Hand tooled embossed leather spurs with ornate 8 point rowels. An arresting design from Vaquero
Finally, all equipped Ability Cards, be they Dead Eye or Passive, now accrue XP 20% faster all week long wherever you use them, from Elimination Series to Free Roam. For high-ranking players, Special Saddles that offer perks like slower Core depletion and regeneration rates are being sold at the Stables at an attractive 25% discount this week.
There is also a slight adjustment to unlocking requirements, as Horses that previously required Rank 41 and above are now available at Rank 40. Along the same theme, hats that require a Rank Unlock of 30 and up are being reduced to Rank 10.
As for the future, the developers thank everyone for the constant feedback. Currently, they are working to implement the top-requested features in the next big update, including resetting appearance without affecting progress, retaining Playing Style preferences when transitioning to and from Free Roam, and much more!
