The latest Inside Xbox stream promised a chance to look into the future and see what it has to offer once the console releases. Unfortunately, that was not the treat many have hoped for.

As thousands tuned in to Thursday's presentation, they were hyped to see next-generation gameplay because that is what they would experience themselves once the games released. However, almost no gameplay was shown by Xbox despite the initial promise. In turn, many people became frustrated, annoyed, and underwhelmed by the hyped-up presentation.

At one point, the YouTube chat got so out of hand that people started criticizing Xbox for not showing any gameplay. Ultimately, the livestream managed to generate 34k Likes and 31k Dislikes before the channel made it private. It was later made public but had 36k Likes and 33k Dislikes.

Fans' disappointment didn't end there, however. After the presentation was over, many took to social media to voice their complaints and frustrations based on what they saw during the event. For example, fans on Reddit complained that Assassin's Creed Valhalla looked a lot more current-generation than next-generation, and how almost none of the games had any actual gameplay to them. That was just the tip of the iceberg, as replies on Twitter all said the same thing while the separate videos on YouTube almost had the same amount of Likes and Dislikes (some have more Dislikes than Likes).

Of course, the Xbox Series X console is still a few months away, and fans should still feel excited for the product. Additionally, Microsoft previously announced that more events are going to be scheduled for the future and how more information and gameplay will be shared.
