Microsoft has optimized various games for their most recent consoles, the Xbox Series X and Series S.

From frame rate to resolution and visuals, there are a lot of games that have been optimized particularly for Series X and Series S. Some of these have been given even more perks on the Series X, as it's the most powerful console of the pair.

The number of new games at launch might not be extensive, but developers have been working hard so that there are many games that will run their optimized versions on the new consoles. This way, the players can start enjoying them right away.

10 No Man's Sky

Though it had a very shaky start, No Man's Sky is currently what the developers intended it to be. Hello Games has managed to build upon their game and to take it where they initially wanted it to go.

With up 32-players multiplayer, 4K at 60fps, improved load times and with lots of free DLC under its belt, No Man's Sky has turned into a very complete game that allows players to put countless hours into their worlds. If there's a game that deserves to be praised for its improvement and increased quality over the years it's No Man's Sky.

Watch Dogs is back with its most recent entry to the series allowing players to explore London as they hack, fight and infiltrate to save the city from meeting its demise.

Ubisoft is quite familiar with bringing real-life locations into their games and they have always aced it when it comes to making these vast in-game areas feel lifelike, filled with great attention to detail. Fortnite took the internet by storm a couple of years ago. And, even though it has been around for a while now, with Epic's constant updates to the game, players are still enjoying it just as much. Especially with the addition of very familiar heroes and villains.

The game's clean visual style looks even better as it takes advantage of the Xbox Series X's hardware as it is able to run smoothly in 4K at 60fps. So, now is the perfect time to jump out of the battle bus and paraglide into battle.

This is awesome news because exploring various islands and enjoying the wonderful vistas that The Touryst has to offer feels even better than before. The game benefits greatly from its optimization. Its gameplay feels smoother than ever and its unique art style looks absolutely fantastic.

The absence of loading screens combined with 4K resolution and 120fps brings a whole new experience to the table that makes it hard to go back to playing it anywhere else.

6 Yakuza: Like A Dragon

After months of only being available in Japan, Sega's Yakuza: Like a Dragon has been released worldwide at last. The 8th entry in the Yakuza series made a shift from a beat-em-up into a turn-based JRPG.

The Xbox Series X version of the game has two options, one that provides enhanced graphics (running at 30fps/4K) and an enhanced performance option (running at 60fps/1440p). Playing on the Series X is most definitely where this game should be played, this way fans can really take advantage of its hardware.

As one of the most notorious games owned and published by Xbox Game Studios, the Gears of War series is a fan favorite that keeps bringing players back to Xbox.

Not only did the game receive a major campaign update on the 10th of November, players that upgraded to the Xbox Series X will also be able to download a technical update for their new console. Ubisoft's latest entry to the Assassin's Creed series is definitely a game that takes advantage of the Series X's power. Currently, the Series X is the only Xbox console that supports Assassin's Creed Valhalla's 4K Ultra HD mode, and even though it may be a bit more pricey when compared to the Series S, the Series X is well worth it for those that enjoy beautiful graphics such as can be seen in Valhalla.

With the combination of Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Microsoft's powerful console, it's exactly the right way to control and explore the world surrounding Eivor.

3 Halo: The Master Chief Collection

This month an enhanced version of Halo: The Master Chief Collection was released for both the Xbox Series X and Series S.

It's also available as part of the Xbox Game Pass. So, those that would like to try the game for the first time and own Microsoft's monthly subscription can play this version on their Series X at no extra cost. With the power of the Xbox Series X, the game will play at a smooth 120fps at 4K, with HDR. It can almost become a surreal experience. To live through this world in such a way can be breathtaking and it's a journey that no one should pass up if they have the chance to play through.
