How To Customize Your Dashboard Tile Layout

The tiles on your dashboard can be changed to your liking. You can add, remove, or simply move the tiles around to access the games and apps you want in the order you want to. To change your dashboard layout, do the following.

  • Press the View button on your controller

The Customize Home menu will pop up. From here, you can add more items to your home, move what's there, or remove what you don't want to show up on your home screen. If you want your pinned items to show up first, ensure you move those to the top of the list on the Customize Home menu.

Navigate to each section you want to move on the Customize Home page, select the item, and either press A to move it or X to remove it from the Home menu. This will determine which tiles will show up on your dashboard and where.

If you're only looking to scroll through your pinned items and games, here is where you can remove unnecessary tiles or tiles you aren't using, such as the Entertainment, Store, and Friends & Community Updates tiles.

You can also add groups to your dashboard from here as well. A great group to add to your dashboard is the Quick Resume group, allowing tiles for all your recently played games to show up wherever you place them, making it convenient to jump back into the last games you were playing.

Adding Groups

To further organize your dashboard, create groups and add them to your home. You can do so by pressing the Xbox button on your controller, navigating from the menu to the My games & apps section, and scrolling down to Create a new group.

You can subsequently add groups for genres, for example, to your dashboard for easy access and organization.

Don't forget to keep your Pins updated as well, keeping all your games within reach when booting up your Xbox.
