Like a Dragon: Ishin has announced an unlikely crossover, bringing Canadian pro wrestler and AEW executive vice president Kenny Omega to 1800s Japan in the form of Trooper Cards, a new in-game collectable that lets you summon characters to aid you in battle.

As reported by ComicBook, Omega and actor Rahul Kohli, who played Jack Spheer in Supergirl and The Origin in Fortnite, will have unique cards that come with their own abilities.

Omega's card is called "Essence of the One-Winged Angel" and will let you attack several enemies at once with a wide-ranging attack. Kohli, meanwhile, has a card called Essence of Firestorm that sets groups on fire. This all feeds into Ishin's card minigame, which will see you building personalised decks to face off against AI players.

As developer RGG Studio tweeted in the announcement, these two will be joining four other special guests in a free Elite Generals Trooper bundle that will be readily available, for free, at launch.

"I've been a fan of the Like a Dragon series for years, and to be forever immortalised in Like a Dragon: Ishin, the newest entry in one of the most iconic game franchises of all time, is surreal," Omega said. "I'm so excited about my Trooper card, and I think players are going to love the artwork and attack animation - and the damage I can deal to enemies!"

Kohli said, "As a huge fan of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's games, I was honoured to be asked to be a guest for the Like a Dragon: Ishin! The close relationship that SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku have with their fan community, has been really exciting to see manifest in these cards. I'm very honoured to not only be a part of the community, but to also be a part of the series."
