Indie publisher Yogscast Games has announced the first Tiny Teams Indie Festival, which brings indie micro-studios comprising three or fewer developers into the spotlight.

Yogscast Games’ Head of Publishing and festival host Ben Edgar lays out the rationale behind their endeavor:

With the first-ever Tiny Teams Festival we want to shine a spotlight on some fantastic games and teams that could otherwise slip under the radar in a hugely busy year of gaming. We’re looking forward to sharing some of the coolest, weirdest and most fun upcoming indies starting 9 August.

The festival will feature developer interviews, gameplay streams, and trailers of dozens of games from teams with maximum three devs. “At Yogscast Games we’re all about indie games that are as fun to watch as they are to play,” says Edgar, so you'll be able to catch all these events broadcast live on both Steam and Twitch between 9-15th August.

The festival will also be celebrating a range of classic indie titles with Steam Store discounts of up to 50% off. Finally, to round things off, an awards show highlighting the most fun, weird, and exciting games profiled during the week will be held at 5 PM BST on  August 15th.

If you're part of a tiny team yourself and want to be featured in the festival, you can submit your game for consideration here before July 27th. The full event program will be announced in early August.
