A group of Youtube musicians and filmmakers are wowing Witcher fans with a quality short dedicated to the game's world.

Covered by Grissini Project and originally written by series composer Marcin Przybyłowicz, the five minute long music video boasts amazing production value with costumes, lighting and sound design - including masterful piano and string instrumentals– all worthy of the upcoming Netflix adaptation of the novels, and CD Projekt RED's masterpiece.

Performed in French, but subtitled for English speakers, it is a haunting piece dripping with atmosphere that is truly arresting for the ears, just like its source material. Due in no small part to Lilou's masterful vocals that are sure to stay with the listener long after they've concluded their viewing.

Listeners are likely more familiar with the original version, which came from the DLC of the same name for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, one of the most critically acclaimed games of the last generation, one of the best games of 2015, and one of, if not the best, open world games of all time. So it is a testament to the cover's quality that it manages to fill these big shoes, with beautiful cinematography and storytelling to match.

It is a fine piece of music, even if you've never played any of the three games in the Witcher trilogy, or read the novels. Having procured over 100,000 views since the cover was released a week ago, viewers would seem to agree. And Grissini has more than earned its audience, also covering pieces from Final FantasyKingdom Hearts and Skyrim, just to name a few. This dedication has granted them over 28 million total views on YouTube and counting.

If you enjoy this cover, you're sure to enjoy those, as well as two of their most popular covers, one of which the piece from the Christopher Nolan film, Interstellar entitled, No Time For Caution, as well as the Davy Jones Theme from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Both of which are masterfully done on a giant church organ, and combined, are responsible for more than half of their 23 million views.  If all that doesn't make this channel appear worthy of your time, there's no way of telling what does, so go check it out for yourself.
