Pokémon Card pack opening Youtuber Leonhart says his 1st Edition Base Set Charizard has gone missing, and no one at USPS can find it.

Leonhart pulled 2nd most valuable Pokémon card out of a loose Base Set pack last month in a video posted to his Youtube channel. Leonhart had been hyping the opening up on his channel for days before uploading the video, claiming the pack was "heavy," AKA, a pack that weighs more than other packs and therefore likely to contain a holographic card. But even Leonhart himself couldn't have known that one of the most sought after cards in the entire world was in that pack, and when he finally opened it in his May 16th video, Leon was momentarily speechless. After sleeving the card and making sure it was protected, he (understandably) completely lost his mind.

A Beckett 10 1st Edition Base Set Charizard has sold at auction for as much as $55,000 (hence Leonhart's title) so it's no surprise that the Youtuber was overcome with excitement and a bit of relief, considering an unopened 1st Edition Base Set pack is worth up to $7000. Opening Wizards of The Coast packs very well results in a net positive for collectors, but thankfully this time Leonhart managed to get extremely lucky and pull the best card he could have possibly pulled.

In an update video posted yesterday, Leonhart explains that the card has since gone missing. Typically, when Leonhart gets a valuable card he will take it to Beckett in his home town of Dallas, Texas. This time though, Leonhart wanted to send the card off the PSA, which is located in Santa Ana, California.

Leonhart took the card to a USPS post office and shipped it with highest level of care, but somewhere between Texas and California, the card has apparently gone missing.

In the video, Leon explains that he reached out to both PSA and USPS multiple times and has opened more than one Missing Package claim and, though it took a number of tries to get help, there are USPS investigators looking for the card.

Missing packages typically turn up eventually, so Leonhart is hopeful his Charizard will resurface sooner or later. If, God forbid, the package was stolen, then we might see his beautiful 1st Edition Charizard on Ebay one of these days.
