Link, specifically the Hero of the Wild Link, is an incredibly powerful character. The protagonist of the Legend of Zelda series, he travels Hyrule protecting it and Princess Zelda from the evils of Calamity Ganon. What if Link were teleported to the world of Pokémon, being forced to take on a different challenge? Which Pokémon would he be able to take on, and which would he fall to? Let's find out.

10 Could Defeat: Raichu

Raichu is a powerful Pokémon that would cause some problems for Link, but the majority of those problems can be fixed by switching out all of his metal tools for other materials, after that, Raichu's damage output will be limited, allowing Link to take it on and defeat it without too much difficulty. If he doesn't have non-metal tools, though, then he is in for a world of hurt, and needs to probably go hand-to-hand with Raichu at that point.

9 Couldn't Defeat: Salazzle

Salazzle has a few ways to really get to Link, using her speed to get in, poison him, and then get right back out. From there, her firey abilities will allow her to melt all of Link's tools that could be used to take her out. She has an array of options when it comes to taking on Link, while he doesn't have many tools at all to even defend against her attacks, putting him in an awful position.

8 Could Defeat: Suicune

Suicune is an incredibly powerful Legendary Pokémon, but it actually won't be able to put up much of a fight against Link. The reason for this is Link's Urbosa's Fury ability, which effectively summons a small lightning vortex around him.

Suicune's Water-typing is going to be extremely detrimental here, with the lightning causing it massive amounts of damage. Suicune might still be standing after the hit, but even so, it won't be able to fight for very long after being so heavily weakened.

7 Couldn't Defeat: Wobbuffet

Somehow, Wobbuffet might be the Pokémon able to take down Link the easiest. Every attack that Link throws at Wobbuffet, it will be able to deflect and deal back at double the damage. Link would need to surprise it with an attack style that it wasn't expecting, only then would it be able to damage the Pokémon, but overall it is a very unlikely strategy to actually take out Wobbuffet.

6 Could Defeat: Torterra

Torterra might seem like a big ol' boy that is sturdy enough to survive any attacks from Link, but Urbosa's Fury combined with things like fire arrows are going to be very difficult for the Pokémon to deal with. It can probably hang on for a while, but it's very unlikely that it'll be able to deal enough damage to win the fight.

5 Couldn't Defeat: Metagross

Metagross is a massive metal monster, there isn't much that Link is going to be able to do to hurt it. Anything that might help, like Urbosa's Fury or Fire Arrows, aren't going to do enough damage to impact the fight in any way, making Metagross pretty prime to win the battle. It essentially acts as a Guardian, but just a lot more indestructible, and a lot faster. Sounds like a pretty fair fight, right?

4 Could Defeat: Pheromosa

Pokemon Pheromosa

Pheromosa is literally a gigantic bug that's very good at kicking and punching its enemies, so, what that means is that while it's going to be a challenge to take down, it is 100% doable to end this roach.

Pheromosa certainly isn't going to go down easily, that much is obvious. However, with Link's fighting skills and the Triforce of Courage to back him, he should eventually be able to overpower itand win.

3 Couldn't Defeat: Darkrai

Darkrai would win a battle with Link effortlessly. The maximum amount of effort it has to put in is putting Link to sleep, which it can literally do in its own sleep. From there, a couple of attacks should seal the deal. Link has no way to defend against an attack like this, and there's no real amount of prep that he could do to avoid a fate like this, making him doomed before the battle even begins.

2 Could Defeat: Virizion

Virizion and its thigh-high boots are quite powerful, no one is questioning that. And it is also a very adept fighter that hits hard and moves fast. Virizion is in a very similar boat to Pheromosa, it is going to be a hard fight for Link because of its power. However, similarly to Pheromosa yet again, it doesn't have any major abilities that put Link into a bad position, meaning that he should be able to take the win after what would likely be a tough battle.

1 Couldn't Defeat: Eternatus

Eternatus is a massive poisonous dragon, Link is not going to be able to defeat it. Eternatus has two forms, both of which are huge and incredibly powerful. While its regular form would likely still best Link in a battle, Eternamax Eternatus, which maximizes its power to levels that no other Pokémon has ever reached, would wipe out Link without even trying. This is one battle Link simply can't win.
