Warzone streamer ZLaner is unable to compete in an upcoming tournament on Twitch due to his plans to dress as Dr. Disrespect for the event.

Twitch's Dr. Disrespect ban has been in place for over a year at this point, and it's serious stuff. The problem is, no one knows why it is serious stuff. From the moment the popular streamer was unceremoniously banned from streaming on Twitch to now, the reason why he is unable to appear on the platform is still yet to be revealed.

Twitch really isn't playing here either, something it hammered home once again this week by a punishment issued to ZLaner. ZLaner was slated to take part in a Twitch Rivals Warzone tournament, only to be told by the platform that he is no longer eligible for the event, including a photo of himself in Dr. Disrespect cosplay in the tweet.

That implied the removal of ZLaner from the tournament was related to what he planned on wearing for it. Jake Lucky has since tweeted, “It seems Twitch Rivals have made ZLaner ineligible to compete in their upcoming Warzone event... because of his Dr Disrespect cosplay.” It might even be a stretch to call it cosplay. The costume is just a wig, mustache, and shiny sunglasses.

ZLaner planned on teaming up with fellow streamers Kalei and ClutchBelk in an attempt to win a share of $75,000. While ZLaner is affiliated with Twitch, he primarily streams on YouTube. There's a chance that had a part to play in hos removal from the tournament, but his connection to both platforms doesn't seem to have affected him in the past.

One day, exactly what happened between Dr. Disrespect and Twitch will be made public and why the platform is so strict when it comes to even his likeness appearing on its streams will become clear. It has even been rumored in the past that streamers affiliated with Twitch aren't allowed to play with Dr. Disrespect, even if they aren't online. That must be pretty hard to police if true, and suggests the reason the two split is an incredibly serious one.
