It’s time to try everything! Yep, we’re talking about Zootopia and all its glory. I think it’s one of the best animated movies Disney has done for a while. (Also, Shakira as a gazelle was a surprising, but rather fun addition.)

Even though Zootopia came out nearly two years ago, the impact it left on everyone is still lingering. It was an amazing movie that combined humor, action, creativity, thought-provoking themes and a familiar lesson we could all remember. In this world where it can be easy to give in to prejudice, it’s important to remember that we shouldn’t judge others. And this movie does a good job of teaching that idea without being too heavy handed with it.

What’s also amazing about Zootopia is the incredible attention to detail. You can watch this movie multiple times and catch new details each time. The animation is amazing and shows the great diversity this city has. You can tell this movie was the result of a lot of work and love. And the end product is simply gorgeous.

Zootopia has gained a lot of fans, and with fans come fanart, fanfiction, and fan comics. What better way to show your love of a movie than to create your own content based off the movie? And this movie has quite the extensive and devoted fandom. There are a ton of comics based on this movie, from funny to sweet to very depressing.

So here are 25 hilarious and sweet Zootopia fan comics that will have you laughing and going, “Aww!” Think we missed some great fan comics? Make sure to let us know in the comments section below!

25 You Know They’d Love Those Autographs

Via: mushstone.deviantart.com

Probably one of my favorite things about Bogo was that he was a closet Gazelle fan, and that ends up being something he and Clawhauser have in common. I love the idea of these two becoming friends and bonding over their love of the famous pop star. It’s a cute idea, and it softens up Bogo’s harsh personality a bit, showing that he’s more than just the tough police chief. Plus, the clip of those two dancing at a Gazelle concert is so fun to see. I can imagine that Bogo would initially want no one to know about his love of pop music, but I’m sure Judy and Nick find out at some point.

Judy getting caught up in a hug between these two is so cute.

This comic is very sweet, and I could totally see this happening after the movie. I bet Gazelle would be very grateful to Judy, and I could see Judy asking for a couple of autographs for Bogo and Clawhauser. (She probably got one for herself too.) Their reaction is also seriously funny and adorable (I love Bogo’s face in the second panel). Judy getting caught up in a hug between these two is so cute. And Nick standing to the side looking seriously amused is definitely in character for him.

24 He Would Use That Mug Every Day

Via: ajie-g-sketchbook.tumblr.com

It’s no secret that Nick has a pretty enthusiastic love of blueberries, especially the ones from Judy’s family’s farm. It’s even shown in the beginning of the movie when we first meet Nick as he swipes a couple of blueberries from a vendor. You can imagine that after the movie, when Nick becomes a cop, his love of blueberries would be a thing everyone at the precinct would poke fun at. (I bet Clawhauser would save a blueberry donut for Nick; that seems like something he would do.) That and most of the gifts he gets would be blueberry-themed.

And that’s what this comic about. You can bet that Judy would totally give Nick a mug that says “I love blueberries.” And we know that Nick would absolutely love it. And the joke about it not being full of blueberries is also pretty funny. It’s always fun to see banter between Judy and Nick, and this comic does it very nicely. These two would give each other thoughtful gifts and they would totally joke about it. And it’s pretty obvious that while Nick annoys Judy half the time, she does care about him. It’s a cute comic that is very in character for our two favorite cops.

23 I Feel What He Means

Via: freekaboo.deviantart.com

One of the big jokes surrounding Finnick is the fact that he is this tiny fennec fox, and that he can easily pass for a child. That’s part of why his and Nick’s scams worked so well. But I can imagine that it would cause him quite a few problems too, and it seems to be a sore spot for him. And part of that is likely that not a lot of people take him seriously, most of all Nick. While he has no problem using his size for a scam, Finnick is a bit short-tempered when it comes to his height and doesn’t appreciate any cracks about it. Which is what makes this comic so funny.

Finnick and Nick have an interesting relationship, going back and forth between being convenient business partners and something similar to lifelong friends. They’re comfortable enough with each other to crack jokes at the other’s expense, and Nick never seems all that intimidated by Finnick’s temper or violent threats. And in this comic, Nick gets in a great burn about Finnick’s height that is hilarious and shows how Nick has no problem poking fun at his friend. Though you might want to start running soon, Nick; I don’t think Finnick is going to let that one slide.

22 Finnick’s Having Too Much Fun With This

Via: walloruss.deviantart.com

If I were to have any complaints about this movie (and I have very few), it would be that we didn’t get much of Finnick’s backstory or a better look at Finnick and Nick’s friendship. It would’ve been cool to see how these two met and what brought them together. And I wonder if they would keep in contact even after Nick becomes a cop. I can’t imagine Finnick being all that thrilled that Nick more or less switched sides. But in this comic, the two are still on good terms.

You know that if Nick started having a thing for Judy, Finnick would totally pick up on that and would tease Nick relentlessly about it. I think he would probably find the idea of Nick falling for a rabbit completely hysterical. While he may not get it, he likely wouldn’t have a problem with it. And I like the idea that the two would meet occasionally to chill, unwind from work, and drink. Also, the fact that Finnick has this giant pitcher of drink is hilarious. You know that despite being tiny, Finnick would have a crazy high drink tolerance. And seeing him sitting on a high stool is also pretty entertaining.

21 The Kids Would Love Him

Via: robertfiddler.deviantart.com

Judy’s parents are an interesting bunch. While they didn’t outright reject Judy’s dream to become a cop, they did try to discourage her from it. In their defense, there really hadn’t been a bunny cop before and I can imagine most parents aren’t super thrilled when their kids choose a profession that’s very dangerous. You can tell that they mean well, but they don’t always have Judy’s best interests at heart. It would be interesting to see what Judy’s parents’ reactions to Nick would be when they met him. Considering how her dad was so anti-fox before, I wonder how he would react when he found out that a fox helped Judy solve one of the biggest cases in Zootopia, and that he later became her partner.

A bunch of young bunnies would be fascinated by the fox who helped their sister save Zootopia.

What I like about this comic is that it shows what probably would happen when Judy’s brothers and sisters find out about Nick. I can imagine a bunch of young bunnies would be fascinated by the fox who helped their sister save Zootopia. And since there aren’t a ton of foxes around (Besides Gideon) they’d probably be very curious about Nick. Plus, the image of Nick being swarmed by all these little bunnies and being slightly panicked about it is just hilarious and adorable.

20 You Know He’s Laughing On The Inside

Via: borba.deviantart.com

Considering how Finnick seemed to have a bit of a soft spot for Judy in the movie (with what little screen time he got), I could see the two teaming up to annoy Nick. While Finnick wouldn’t appreciate that Judy is a cop, he would totally be down for anything that drives Nick up the wall. And I could see Finnick coming around to hang out with Judy and Nick (so long they don’t ask him any questions about his “activities”). This comic takes full advantage of Judy’s and Finnick’s more mischievous side.

I could see Finnick and Judy probably bonding over things like teasing Nick. And their small sizes and big ears. Judy could definitely relate to Finnick in having people look down on her because of her size. That’s probably why he likes her. She’s another feisty, small mammal that doesn’t let anyone tell her no. This comic is just a great example of the two delivering a pretty entertaining but groan-inducing joke. And Nick’s reaction to their joke is the best. I bet this isn’t the first time they’ve told this kind of a joke to Nick, and he just looks 100% done. I bet he’s regretting that these two ever met.

19 I Could See These Two Getting Along

Via: johnraptor.deviantart.com

When My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic came out, I don’t think the creators anticipated how popular the series would get. But it is a good series full of awesome animation, likable characters, and cute themes and lessons. You can’t help but like these ponies who are just living their lives, having fun with their friends and occasionally saving Canterlot from some crazy evil force. But how would these ponies react to other humanoid animals? Specifically, some animals from a certain movie?

A crossover between My Little Pony and Zootopia is something I never knew I wanted, but it would be seriously amazing! I would love to see Judy and Nick’s reactions to Canterlot and Ponyville. I’m sure Judy would instantly make friends with the main six ponies. Nick would probably be freaked out when everyone starts singing. This comic is great because it shows an awesome friendship between Judy and Applejack. Judy’s farming background would definitely interest Applejack. Though I’m not sure why Judy would think it’s a great idea to introduce Night Howlers to these ponies. But seeing Applebloom going savage is entertaining, if not a little freaky. I’m not sure if I want to see a bunch of savage ponies. Watch out, you two!

18 Wait, This Didn’t Happen?

Via: theawesomewill.tumblr.com

Ever since Zootopia came out, people started noticing quite a few similarities between Nick Wilde and a certain other Disney fox. You have to admit that Nick and Robin Hood do look a lot alike, and their charming yet mischievous personalities are pretty similar too. There have even been theories that Robin Hood and Zootopia are in the same universe, and Nick is actually a descendant of Robin Hood. (And the theory does make sense, considering the timeline.) It would be interesting to see a connection between these characters. But this comic takes a more meta approach.

It’s kind of a behind-the-scenes type of thing in this comic.

This artist decided to make Robin and Marian Nick’s parents, but they’re all the stars of their own movies. So it’s kind of a behind-the-scenes type of thing in this comic. And in this case, the parents are your typical involved parents, nagging Nick and bugging him about various things. But I don’t think that Marian would be all that bothered if Nick was dating Judy. She doesn’t seem the type to care about those things. But it is fun to see these characters act in a more domestic family dynamic. Nick is annoyed with his parents, but you can tell he loves them, and Marian is just looking out for Nick and wanting to be a part of his life (though maybe she’s being a bit pushy about it).

17 You Know This Happened At Least Once

Via: twitter.com (tirrelous)

A good portion of what made Zootopia such a great movie is the attention to detail in the movie. It takes into account all the different animals of various shapes and sizes, and this city accommodates all of these elements. It’s incredibly creative, and you can tell that the creators thought of everything. The idea of Little Rodentia as section just for your super tiny mammals was a stroke of genius. And I loved how the train had different sized doors. With Zootopia housing all different kinds of mammals, it makes sense that you’d get some interesting situations based on an animal's abilities. And that’s what this comic touches on.

I’m sure the police force had one or two cheetahs in the field, so the idea of a cheetah running and keeping up with a speeding car is absolutely hilarious. Although it may not the most accurate, since while cheetahs can run incredibly fast, they can’t maintain that speed for very long. But it’s still a clever idea, and I think it probably could happen if a cheetah was feeling especially annoyed. And just the concept of a police officer cheetah holding your typical conversation with the driver while running alongside the car that’s still going is fantastic.

16 Who Doesn’t Love This Guy?

Via: kungfufreak07.deviantart.com

You can’t help but love Clawhauser; the guy is this eternal ray of sunshine and just genuinely loves his job and interacting with all the different people that come into the police station. That’s what made it even more heart-wrenching when he got temporarily transferred to an office in the back due to the anti-predator clashes. Seeing him so down and depressed was just wrong. But it made you cheer more when he was back in his usual spot by the end of the movie. Clawhauser would be that type of guy that probably would give relationship advice to anyone, even if he didn’t know what he was talking about.

This comic is a crossover of Zootpia and Shrek, but I could see Clawhauser doing something like this when talking to Nick. It would be a cute thing if Nick discovered he likes Judy, but he isn’t sure how to go about asking her on a date. And then Clawhauser finds out and totally gets involved because you know he’d be so invested in this relationship between his two favorite officers. And I could see Clawhauser just breaking into song randomly, much to Nick’s annoyance. You stay your wonderful self, Clawhauser. Don’t ever change!

15 Making Things Memorable

Via: kungfufreak07.deviantart.com

Many fans who ship Nick and Judy have often wondered and speculated on what a wedding between these two would be like. Would it be fancy or casual? Would it be a huge event or something small and intimate? (And there’s even the question of whether or not these two could even get married, since we don’t know how Zootopia residents feel about interspecies relationships, or if that kind of wedding would be legal.) But there have been many artists who have come up with their own ideas on what a Wilde/Hopps wedding would be like.

Most of the time, they’re pretty lighthearted and always cracking jokes.

I really like this comic that covers their wedding because I feel like something like this would totally happen where Nick messes up on his words, and then just goes with it, cracking more jokes and making Judy laugh hysterically. That just seems so much like their relationship. The two do have pretty serious jobs and can be serious when they need to be, but most of the time, they’re pretty lighthearted and always cracking jokes. After all, life is too short be going through it serious all the time. I feel like this would be a great start for the rest of their lives. Good luck, you two lovebirds!

14 I’d Play The Game

Via: mushstone.deviantart.com

I’m sure that all the police officers would have their own little games and betting pools going on throughout the work day. (I bet the betting pool for when Nick and Judy are going to get together is huge.) But it would also make sense that Nick and Judy would have their own little bets and games that they would play with each other. The two are around each other all the time, so it would make sense that they would play with something like that. And in this case, it’s Clawhauser they’re betting on.

What makes this comic so funny is that it takes an element of Clawhauser (the fact that a donut can get stuck in his neck fat) and makes it an even funnier joke. You know that Nick and Judy would probably make a bet with each other on whether Clawhauser had a doughnut stuck on the left or right side of his neck. What’s even more entertaining is the fact that they’ve moved beyond the bet of whether or not he’d have a doughnut stuck there; now it’s just a matter of where the doughnut is this time. It’s funny, it’s silly, and it shows a cute side to these police officers that we all love to see.

13 This Would Be A Fun Crossover

Via: kungfufreak07.deviantart.com

Half the fun of making your own fanart and fan comics is doing any kind of crossover you want. It’s fun to imagine how characters from one movie would react in a scenario from another movie. And it’s entertaining to see how different characters from different movies would react to each other. Not to mention that you get to redesign looks and clothes, depending on the crossover, so that’s always fun for artists. In the case of this comic, we see a great crossover between Zootopia and Warm Bodies.

Warm Bodies was surprisingly charming and sweet, considering it was a zombie flick. You couldn’t help but like the main zombie character since his inner musings were always pretty funny. And watching him slowly turn more human as a result of falling in love with a human girl was very sweet to watch. And in this comic, Nick and Judy are the two main characters in Warm Bodies, and this scene is both hilarious and cute. Considering how dramatic Judy can be, I could see her putting too much effort into trying to be a zombie, and zombie Nick would just be confused and slightly done with her antics. It’s a cute concept, and I can imagine this totally happening if these two were in this type of scenario.

12 I Can’t Tell If He’s Joking Or Not

Via: slazakgrzesiek.deviantart.com

You can’t help but wonder how on earth Clawhauser got into the police force in the first place. How did he make it through training? We know he’s not the most athletic of officers, which is likely why he’s a radio dispatcher and a secretary. And if he ever was an active officer, what happened to have him at a mostly desk job now? Well, according to this comic, there’s a slightly crazy reason why Clawhauser is behind the desk now. Though I’m not sure if he’s just joking around.

We never really find out if he’s telling the truth or not.

I love the idea that the reason Clawhauser got moved to a desk job was that he was too impulsive and ended up getting a little crazy when taking down the perpetrators. It seems so unlike him that it’s a pretty entertaining concept. And this comic feels like Clawhauser is messing with Nick and Judy, but we never really find out if he’s telling the truth or not. The artist even said that the comic is meant to be similar to those Mater’s Tall Tales shorts, so it’s one of those things that you shouldn’t take too seriously, but it may have happened. Who knows? Clawhauser certainly isn’t telling.

11 Don’t Mess With Her Food, Man

Via: kungfufreak07.deviantart.com

I can see Judy being a bit protective of her food, probably from growing up with a bunch of siblings. In a big family like that, you would probably have to be a bit possessive when it comes to certain things. And I can imagine that Judy is very serious about her food (though maybe not as much as Nick is). And we all know that while Judy can be cute, she’s also very aggressive. You don’t want to make her angry because she will mess you up. And this is something Nick learns in a slightly terrifying way in this comic.

What’s great about this comic is that it starts out very cute where Nick goes to hand Judy a dumpling but instead kisses her on the forehead. You’d think it would turn Judy into a blushing mess, but instead, she gets angry and swipes the food from Nick that she’s been denied. Nick’s face in the last panel is so priceless. He looks so confused and terrified. Nick, you’re just going to have to accept that the bunny you love is going to get a little scary sometimes. This comic is cute and has a hilariously unexpected twist at the end, which makes it even better.

Comic by KungFuFreak07.

10 He’s Wanted To Do This For A Long Time

Via: furboz.deviantart.com

One of the things that was rather clever in Zootopia was Judy’s experience in Little Rodentia. I can imagine that someone as small as her would definitely be startled at being in a place where she was a giant. It would definitely be a surreal experience for her, and to her credit, she does her best to cause as little damage as possible to these little guys. (With not a ton of success. Though she did save Mr. Big’s daughter, Fru Fru, from that giant doughnut.) But what if Nick found himself in Little Rodentia? I can imagine that he would have a blast. And that’s what this comic is about.

The concept of Nick stomping around Little Rodentia Godzilla style is absolutely hilarious, and it’s likely something he would threaten to do every now and then. I could see him getting a kick out of it. And Judy pulling him away, looking exasperated, is just the perfect way to end the comic. Based on her reaction, Nick’s either done this before, or Judy just knows him well enough at this point to not be surprised at all that he tried to do something like this. Come on, Judy! Nick just wants to know what it’s like to feel big!

Comic by Furboz.

9 I Feel You, Nick

Via: romanrazor.deviantart.com

Part of being a cop means that you have to be in pretty good shape (unless you’re just a desk guy). So, it's not surprising that Judy is in great shape and probably exercises a lot every day. It’s very much her personality to want to go on a five-mile jog in the morning just to wake up a bit. But Nick? Not so much. The guy’s no slouch, but I can’t see him doing exercise voluntarily. His exercise before he became a cop was probably running away from the police or other mammals that were mad at him. But that would have to change when he went into training. And that’s what this comic is having fun with.

I could see Judy dragging Nick along for one of her jogs.

I could see Judy dragging Nick along for one of her jogs, and poor Nick is just having a hard time. Training was probably a bit difficult for him in the beginning. And I can’t imagine him being that big into running. But Judy is sweet for wanting to help him out in his training; she just wants him to pass so he can become a cop with her. If that means he has to suffer through jogging, that so be it. Hang in there, Nick! You can do it!

Comic by RomanRazor.

8 Don’t Underestimate This Bunny

Via: tomatoegoatee.tumblr.com

Just because Judy managed to solve a big case, it’s unlikely that she gained the respect of all the police officers right away. They probably still underestimated her because of her size. To be fair, it’s hard to imagine a bunny being that powerful or intimidating. Many cops probably thought that she would be a weak link in the police force. But she would definitely prove them wrong. Remember that a rabbit’s hind legs are incredibly powerful? Yeah, Judy takes full advantage of that. And this comic shows that in a pretty epic way.

I love the fact that Nick is definitely not willing to put up with anyone’s insults when it comes to Judy, but he’s also willing to just let Judy prove the jerk wrong herself. And the image of Judy kicking a water bottle into the jerk police guy’s face so hard that it knocks him out is hilarious. I’m sure that many police guys thought that Nick was getting the short end of the stick when being assigned to Judy. But they both showed that this fox and rabbit duo are a force to be reckoned with. Don’t underestimate these two, and definitely don’t challenge them. You will regret it.

Comic by Tomatoegoatee.

7 Her Dad Doesn’t Mess Around

Via: walloruss.deviantart.com

Judy’s parents often mean well, but sometimes the things they say and do can do more harm than good. And that is especially true with their interactions with predators. Remember how Judy’s dad tried to get her to take a fox taser when she went to Zootopia? Well, he probably kept that. And while many fans think that Bonnie and Stu would welcome Nick with open arms (or maybe slightly hesitant arms), there are some that think at least Stu would be at lot less welcoming. And some think things may get downright violent. And that’s what this comic decides to address.

What makes this rather funny is that Stu is pretty unapologetic and Judy is so done with her dad. It kind of sheds some light on the relationship between Judy and her dad. You can tell she loves him, but she’s pretty annoyed with his antics right now. And poor Nick in between them croaking out “I’m okay” is pretty hilarious. You have to feel bad for the poor fox. I can imagine how much wallop those tasers probably pack. I wonder what led to Stu tasering him? Maybe Nick made a snarky comment, or maybe Stu felt like he needed to show Nick who’s boss.

Comic by Walloruss.

6 Tough Luck, Nick

Via: borba.deviantart.com

One of the best things about Zootopia is the growing friendship and dynamic between Judy and Nick. The two are very different, but their differences complement each other so well. Plus, they’re hilarious when they’re bantering. Considering that Nick has a pretty mischievous side to him, it wouldn’t be that surprising that he would try to prank Judy. He was constantly messing with her throughout the movie, and he probably only gets worse as they become better friends. Though I bet after a while, Judy would be wise to his antics, so she’d probably pull a few good ones on him. And this comic shows one potential scenario.

Nick may be the snarky one, but Judy can be just as mischievous and smug.

You know Nick would try to scare Judy while they’re in the office. And he would totally play up the whole “he’s a predator, she’s a prey” thing. But you also know that Judy would catch on to his pranks, so she probably wouldn’t be phased at some point. This idea that she totally catches him in the act of trying to scare her and him going off and sulking is hilarious and totally believable. Nick may be the snarky one, but Judy can be just as mischievous and smug. Maybe you’ll get her next time, Nick.
